Theme: Building Bridges

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Kathrin Auer

Study advisor | Lecturer for Procurement in Supply Chain Management and Business Management

Kathrin is an advisor for the Centre for Studies and Education and Digitalization/Innovation in Education at Deggendorf Institute of Technology. She is also a Lecturer at THD handling her favorite subjects such as “Procurement in Supply Chain Management” and also “Business Management”. She brings along vivid business experiences in the field of trade, automotive, and pharma. Kathrin strongly believes in interdisciplinary teams and the capabilities of solving the most pressing questions of mankind.

Klaus Dietmar Johann Kern

Klaus Dietmar Johann Kern is, as the name already says, unique, wonderful and an outstanding, all-rounder personality. Klaus is a jack of all trades and also a master in everything. Klaus is a motivational speaker and has given his lectures at renowned companies such as Siemens and Robert Bosch. He is an author, entrepreneur, judo and karate master, and also a specialist for craftsmanship.

Marion Löfflmann

Organiser of the Host Family Program at TH Deggendorf

She is presently working for the International Office at TH Deggendorf. Since 2004 she has been running the host family program at the university. Prior to collaborating with the University Marion has worked in multiple job fields, a few of them are Legal Assistant at a Lawyer, in a factory operating machines, and also the post services. She enjoys meeting new people, making new friends, and mixing with students.

Natalie Kruse- Nosek

Founder of a language school that focuses on teaching individuals English

Natalie is passionate linguistic with a love for individualized language coaching. She is the founder of a language school that focuses on teaching individuals English. She graduated with her M.A in Linguistics from the University of Göttingen. Natalie's strengths are to embrace creative learning methods to boost students through interdisciplinary tasks and activities. Learning English without talking about English, but talking about an interesting subject in English is her mission.

Thomas Spittler

Vice Dean and Course director of Joint Master Global Public Health Course director Health Informatics

He is from Passau, a town in lower Bavaria. He is the Vice-dean and study coordinator for Health Informatics at THD-European Campus Rottal-Inn Pfarrkirchen. His areas of interest are Digitalization in Healthcare, eHealth, Data Analytics, and Applied Artificial Intelligence and Health Services Research. He has published many scientific papers in combining technology with healthcare. In his free time, he enjoys playing the Trumpet.

Ulrike completed a bachelor’s degree in international management from Deggendorf Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in psychology of Excellence in Business and Education from Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich. She held different work positions in Peru and worked in BayWa AG, Munich for 5 years. Ulrike is the founder of a Consultation company, and delivers lectures for systemic organizational development, team development, and agile PM at Deggendorf Institute of Technology.

Uranchimeg Tudevdagva

Guest Professor and Senior Researcher of the Faculty for Computer Science at Technical University Chemnitz

She was born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and completed her education in computer science at Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU), Russia. Uranchimeg completed her Ph.D. in 2003 at NSTU, Russia, and Dr.Ing-Habil (ScD) in 2014 at Technical University Chemnitz, Germany. She is a Professor at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, Mongolia, and currently a Guest Professor and Senior Researcher of the Faculty for Computer Science at Technical University Chemnitz, Germany. Uranchimeg is an expert on the evaluation model for complex systems and e-learning and has published several research articles and books.

Varalakshmi Balakrishna Reddy

Head of Department of Commerce and M.Com Co-ordinator at Rajajinagar Parents Association College

She Started her career in 1993 as a Lecturer in the field of Commerce. Since 1997, she is the Head of Department of Commerce and M.Com Co-ordinator at Rajajinagar Parents Association College. Additionally, she is an Author for B.Com Text Books and also published various articles in Journals and Magazines. She Represented Karnataka, Department of Education for the commerce subjects for high school students to give her suggestions and opinions on “Learning Outcomes at Higher Secondary Stage” prepared by NCERT in the month of November 2020. Currently, she is developing methods to teach students through digital learning platforms with limited resources.

His areas of interest include Blockchain, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT), and Data Science. He enjoys playing cricket in his free time.
