Disruption is a process that has been occurring since the beginning of time. It can be defined as the action that causes extensive changes to the traditional way an industry or market operates, through the application of new methods and technology. Disruption has shaped the future of humanity as was the case with the first industrial revolution where the introduction of more efficient engines of progress, caused growth to rise exponentially. Even today, this trend is occurring at a much faster rate, requiring us to keep up with the pace. The academic platform of KFUPM reinforces such changes, making it a suitable platform to spread awareness, excite youth to take action, and increase investors’ willingness to help the local communities towards a better future.

Loai Labani

Founder and CEO at Innosoft

Loai Labani, Saudi Entrepreneur, is the CEO and founder of “Innosoft” since April 2011 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Innosoft was the first technology company funded by Saudi Aramco’s Entrepreneurship Center (Wa’ed) which at its 10th anniversary has restructured as Solutions under the 42 Group, founded in 2021, that is expected to be publicly listed within the next two years. Loai’s passion for the world of technology is rooted in his young age. He received the Arab Creativity Award in 2005 for a book he authored about Computer Science while in High School. He is now a board member of Asharqia Young Businessmen council and served as a consultant of customer experience in the Ministry of Housing. He is also a board member of the National Committee of Entrepreneurship in the Kingdom. He is an expert, chief expert, and a previous winner of the Medal of Excellence at the WorldSkills International Competition for the “IT Solutions in Business'' domain.

Muath Almansour

Strategy & Organizational Advisor at Saudi Aramco

Dr. Muath Almansour works as a Strategy & Organizational Advisor at Saudi Aramco in the Organization Consulting Department, and also an Adjunct Professor of MBA at KFUPM. He has a wide experience in management consulting where he has been working with successful executives and teams to measurably improve their organizational effectiveness. Dr. Almansour gained global experience working for other blue chip companies, and the experience he has gained within the different industries and companies has given him a broad outlook, which he believes would allow him to contribute with different mindsets and hopefully enable him to humbly share his experiences with his peers. Thus enabling the team to be more creative in the challenges and tasks set out by the leadership team but also in the bottom line delivery of results. He is truly passionate about his work and always eager to connect with other people.

Nouf Alhazmi

Nouf Alhazmi is a bioengineer and an entrepreneur. She holds two master's degrees from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, and KFUPM, and a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She’s worked for KAUST, KAEC, and a few startups in San Francisco. She was recently awarded the first place prize at Spark entrepreneurship contest for her PHA Bioplastics startup, Plastus.

He was selected to be the 2019 President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) International, the largest not-for-profit professional society supporting the Oil & Gas Industry. His vision of the Oil & Gas industry is to continue having positive impact on global economy, enhancing human lifestyle, enriching global social sustainable development, reducing global energy poverty and significantly protecting the environment towards near-zero-net emission by 2050.
