Assistant Professor
Andrew is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Engineering Education at Virginia Tech and is a simultaneous graduate student in M.A. in Data Analytics and Applied Statistics program at the same institution. He is also an assistant professor with the Electronics Engineering Department at the Ateneo de Davao University, Philippines. He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronics Engineering from Ateneo de Davao University and Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines, respectively. He has done and published research in the areas of additive manufacturing and the design and optimization of electronic systems. His current research interests include instructional designs in teaching electrical and electronics engineering concepts and curricular innovations for advanced manufacturing programs.
Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean
Asst. Prof. Anthony James C. Bautista, PME, MBA, PhD is the Assistant Dean of the faculty of engineering of the University of Santo Tomas and a researcher in the field of Agricultural Robotics, Precision farming and Service Assistant Robots at University of Santo Tomas. Dr. Bautista is a recipient of J. Amado Araneta Foundation Living Heroes for Technology and Ginebra Lalaban Ako Awards for his valuable efforts and leadership in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic. He was also a recipient of Gregorio Y. Zara Awards for Applied Research given by the Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology. His advocacy includes inspiring the youth to learn and use robotics technology to solve practical problems in the society.
Professor of Medicine
Prof. Dr. Consuelo G. Suarez, M.D., PhD is presently the chair of the Research Center for Health Sciences of the University of Santo Tomas (UST). She is a full professor at the UST-Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and is affiliated with the UST Hospital, Philippine Heart Center, and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Philippines . She is a fellow of the Philippine Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine. She served as a project leader of several government funded projects and is presently the program lead for the niche center for sports medicine in the Philippines. Her research interests include: evidence-based practice, musculoskeletal ultrasound, obesity and gait analysis.
Associate Professor Lecturer
Dr. Dan Jeric Rustia is presently affiliated to the College of Computer Studies of the Department of Computer Technology of De La Salle University, Philippines where he serves as an Associate Professor Lecturer. He got his MS in Electronics Engineering in Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan, ROC, and his PhD in Biomechatronics Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, ROC. His research interests include smart agriculture, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Assistant Professor
Dr. Bhalla is presently affiliated with Ulster University, UK as an Assistant Professor. He obtained his PhD from the University of Bath, UK, in 2015 focusing on Biosensors for Drug Discovery Applications. He presently works in the Nanotechnology and Integrated Bioengineering Center of the School of Engineering of Ulster University. His research group is focusing on the discovery and invention of plasmonic & magnetic nanomaterials and their fabrication processes, development of new sensing principles and applications, and development of low-cost portable biosystems.
Professor of Information Systems
Prof. Ridwan Sanjaya got his MS & PhD degrees in IT at the Assumption University, Thailand on 2006 and 2011, respectively. He is presently a full professor in the Information Systems Department of Soegijapranata Catholic University, Semarang, Indonesia. He previously served as the university rector, and was the vice rector for academic affairs and cooperation and development affairs of the same university. He serves as a coordinator for APTIK Learning Network, member of the board of experts of the Indonesian Teachers Association, as well as, part of the board of advisors of the Association of Higher Education in Informatics and Computer (APTIKOM) (APTIKOM) in Central Java.
Physician - Cardiologist
Rodrigo Santos is a physician who specializes in cardiology and vascular medicine. He obtained his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of UST. His medical practice spans more than
25 years. He has held several positions at different hospitals. Aside from this, he has also pursued business endeavors in the past. In 2020, he completed his MBA in UST. His interest was on medical
innovation, financial technology and cardiovascular diseases.
Senior Lecturer
Eric Tatt Wei Ho received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, in 2007 and 2013, respectively. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia. He has previously developed a desktop fast robotics system to prepare fruit flies for neuroimaging experiments and microfluidics systems for selecting dendritic cells from blood for immunotherapy applications. His research interests include application of deep learning to neuroimaging, brain networks analysis and low resource electronics and artificial intelligence solutions for off-grid water-energy generation. He is a Founding Member of the Malaysia Node of the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) and formerly the Malaysian Representative on the INCF Council for Training, Science and Infrastructure and a council member for the Malaysian Society for Neurosciences.
Professor of Physics
Prof. Ma is the present dean of the Office of International Affairs of and a Distinguished professor of the Department of Physics of National Dong-Hwa University, Taiwan, ROC. He serves as an editor for several international journals such as the Chinese Journal of Physics, Nature Scientific Reports, Nanomaterials and Sensors. He specializes in Nanotechnology, 2D Materials and Green Energy.
