Change is permanent and Phenomenal, to be agents of change that brings cheers and glory to life is an idea that is worth spreading and so is this Edition of TEDxKanniyakumari will be presented on the theme "Be the Change" thing brings 19 Changemakers to spread the wisdom of change.TEDxKanniyakumari which is originally scheduled to happen on April 24, 2021, is now postponed and rescheduled to November 2021 due to the alarming rise of covid cases in India and Tamilnadu and as we value the safety of our speakers and attendees the utmost. We will be able to provide delightful memories and ideas to cherish only if we value the attendees and speakers safety and health.

Sudha, a transgender woman, received the Kalaimamani Award from the Tamil Nadu, alongside 200 other artistes. On August 13, 46-year-old Sudha from Chennai received the award that has also been bagged by big names from the Tamil film industry like actor Vijay Sethupathi, actress Priyamani and actor-choreographer-filmmaker Prabhu Deva. The awardees list for artistes and their work between 2011 and 2018, included Sudha for her compering for the year 2015, for her advocacy and awareness programmes to ensure acceptance of the community in society.

Lt.cdr Sadhana Giri had numerous shackles that have broken and disrupted the old patterns of thinking, of doing, and of being to replace it with new thoughts, newer ways of doing things, and noblest ways of being. It is the story of Lt Cdr Sadhana Giri (Retd) who refused to be treated as insignificant and a victim of paternal laws because she was a particular gender. Her parents were denied rights to property and left homeless because they had four girl children. She wanted to change it all and so decided to join armed forces and was the first generation officer to do so from among-st her entire community and neighbouring villages. Marched shoulder to shoulder with her male counterparts, commanded men, and rendered 12 years of meritorious service in the Indian Navy and hence changed the thinking of the people who now have started educating their daughters.
