We are pleased to announce that Model Institute of Engineering and Technology Jammu, Jammu
&Kashmir is going to organize a virtual TEDx event, “TEDxMIETJammu” on 29th of May (Saturday) 2021. It would be privilege for us to host you as one of the esteemed speaker as the goal in hosting a TEDx event is to invite wide array of diverse speakers who not only divulge knowledge but also make it easier to comprehend the realities of life.
We had successfully organized the first edition of TEDxMIETJammu in the month of November in 2019. We aspire to organize the second edition of the same this year.
TEDxMIETJammu, is presenting an evolutionary theme is 'U.R.G. E' - Uncover, Reflect, Grow, Evolve.
UNCOVER; Turn the dreams into realities and overcome all kinds of insecurities.
REFLECT; It is important to introspect and deep dive into oneself.

Captain Zoya Aggarwal

Captain, Air India

Zoya Agarwal is an Air India pilot in India. She was the youngest woman pilot in India to fly a Boeing-777 in the year 2013. On 9th January 2021, she flew one of the world's longest air routes between San Francisco and Bengaluru with an all-female flight crew. In 2015, Zoya was applauded for her role in saving a passenger's life. A New York-bound Air India Boeing turned back mid-air and landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport after a male passenger complained of breathing problems. Though the plane with 327 passengers was airborne for 150 minutes, flight commander Zoya decided to turn back to Delhi after the passenger complained of breathlessness and was in need of urgent medical attention. The ailing passenger was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately after the plane landed. Zoya also lead the Vande Bharat Mission to bring back around 14,800 stranded Indians from 12 countries on 64 Air India flights.
