In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Sumathi, his wife, quit her job with the State Bank of India to become Thyrocare’s first employee. Upon asked why bedroom in a lab? “My life revolves around my work and my lab. I don’t have any connection with society. Since my cabin and bedroom are close to one another, I can work when I want and I can sleep when I want.” He has given various talks on subjects like ‘The Luxury of Poverty’ and ‘Rags to Riches’. He even has a personal blog where he shares stories from his life.

Deependra Singh Sengar

Major Deependra Singh Sengar is a retired Indian Army officer, who quit the armed forces in 2001 after an injury in combat put him out of action. The braveheart paratrooper, who was once told that he could never walk again, not only overcame his disability but also changed his course and established a successful corporate career as a management professional. During his tenure in the military, he received 12 awards for his outstanding service. including the prestigious Gallantry award. After doing an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, he started his corporate career as an intern with Lehman Brothers (an investment bank) at one of their branches in Tokyo for one year. In 2003, he joined Dr. Reddy's laboratories in Hyderabad as a Manager and later became an Associate Director of the firm, heading HR operations of its business unit in Hyderabad. In 2009, he joined IBM as a Delivery Project Executive was then recruited up by Microsoft in 2013.

Licypriya has been campaigning for climate action in India since 2018, to pass new laws to curb India's high pollution levels, and to make climate-change literacy mandatory in schools.

Formula 4 Racer

Mira Erda is one of India’s foremost female open wheel racers. She began racing when she was nine years old. Her first race came after just 25 days of training as she competed in the 2010 JK Tyre National Rotax Max Championship in India. Later that year, she participated in her first international race at the Plus Yamaha SL International Challenge in Malaysia. She managed her first podiums and race wins in 2011, also winning the award for Best Improved Driver of the Year. Through consistent performances, she made her way to the JK Racing Championship 2014 to become the youngest Formula 4 girl driver. Continuing to improve every year, Mira became the Formula 4 Rookie Champion of the Year 2016 and was honored by FMSCI, the governing body for motorsports in India, with the Outstanding Woman In Motorsports award. In 2017, she became the first Indian woman to race in the Euro JK series, one of the highest classes of Formula racing in India.
