SophisticaTED, DelighTED, JolTED. This is what TEDxSDJHigh(a TEDx youth event organized by Seodajeon Highschool students) is about! TEDxSDJHigh boasts a variety of inspirational speakers ranging from scientists, philanthropists, and technical advisors. In order to promote a sustainable development infrastructure and cultural base, it offers education and insight into subjects that are more than meets the eye.
It first started as a school club aiming to provide unorthodox education for students to give them the critical perception to think outside the box. In contrast to its humble beginnings from a student-organized event, it has become an annual event that constantly gets recognition for its overall quality of performers and cult following.
This year, due to the spread of COVID-19 and considering our local conditions, we decided to transform our live event into an online Zoom event. Any students of SDJHighschool and local residents can participate in the event either as attendees or speakers. Heejin Yang who is taking a role as a director of the communication department of the student council is giving a lecture about economy and business. The theme is "V-nomics".
