Joycelyn is undertaking an MRes + PhD in Climate Research studying the application of Artificial Intelligence to Climate Change. She also runs two creative platforms, BLACKONBLACK is a 360 creative agency diversifying the creative industry and supporting creatives of colour. She is also the founder of Climate In Colour a platform at the intersection of Climate Science and Social Justice, making climate conversations more accessible, diverse and creative.
Matthew Roberts
Occupational Therapy Postgraduate
Matthew Roberts is a second year postgraduate Occupational Therapy student from Cardiff University. After completing an undergraduate degree in History at York University he found himself drawn to working with children in a health and social care environment. He has since spent the past 5 years working with people of all ages with a variety of physical, developmental and mental health diagnoses. He has a passion for empowering people to take control over their lives and was drawn into Occupational Therapy by its holistic ethos and varied practice environments. Occupational Therapy is a healthcare discipline heavily reliant on creativity, and his talk will illustrate the importance of creativity in contemporary practice where "evidence" is all important.
Naikena Mutulili
Biosciences undergraduate
Naikena Mutulili is a 3rd year Neuroscience undergraduate at Cardiff University. She is the current lead mentor consultant for the school of Biosciences and co-founder of FreedomWithinKE, a charity aimed at supporting women inmates and their children while living within Kenyan prisons. She champions diversity and inclusion as a member of the Cardiff University Student Race Equality Steering group and is the co-founder of the Race Link Collective, a social platform aimed at empowering student voices on matters surrounding diversity and inclusion in higher education. Naikena believes strongly in the power of creativity to effect positive change in the world and that all individuals are innately creative, one must only tap into it.
Prof. Damian Walford-Davies
Pro Vice-Chancellor, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
The Pro Vice-Chancellor, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. He served as the first Chair of Literature Wales – one of Wales’s seven national arts companies – from 2012 to 2018. His main fields of research are Romanticism; the wider material cultures of the Romantic period; Romantic historicism and the methodologies of Romantic Studies; Romanticism and geography/ cartography; Welsh writing in English; twentieth-century poetry; and Creative Writing. He is a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.

Yassmine was born in Italy to a Moroccan family and has had the chance to live in a few countries growing up, including France and the UK. Very young she developed a passion for various fields, including political activism, cinema and a fascination for science and space. Through her law studies, she worked first for a law firm, moving then into the Film and TV industry in the Legal Business Affairs section and then being at the head of a Digital Art Department.
