Dr. Arfa Zehra
Dr. Arfa Sayeda Zehra is a Pakistani educationist and Urdu language expert. She studied first at Lahore College for Women University, then Government College University, with further degrees from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Zehra is a professor emeritus of history at Forman Christian College and is a former principal of the Lahore College for Women University. She was a chairperson on the National Commission on the Status of Women. She is a former caretaker provincial minister of Punjab. She is recognized for her knowledge on the Urdu language and literature and is specialized in intellectual history and South Asian social issues; outside of the university sphere, she speaks at language conferences and televised forums.
Kanza Bano
Kanza Bano is an architect by profession and a student of the illustrious art form of Kathak. Having Studied under the prestigious ustad, Nighat Choudry, she has spent 4 years under her care and tutelage to pursue her calling for the North Indian form of classical dance that exists as part of a rich heritage and also serves as a vibrant mode of artistic expression within a contemporary understanding.
Nighat Chaodhary
Born in Lahore and brought up in England, Nighat Chaodhry has been a dancer from an early age as her skills were vividly visible when she was still a toddler. Later under the tutelage of legendary kathak dancer Naheed Saddque, she got herself groomed to perfection. Besides learning ballet and contemporary dance in London, she got herself trained in Kathak through the venerated institution of Kathak Kendra in Delhi, from Pandi Durga Lal of the Jaipur gharana. She graduated from Duke University in choreography and previously she has degrees from Goldsmiths, University of London. She was awarded the Pride of Performance by the President of Pakistan in 2018. She is also the founder of National Dance Foundation and aims to preserve the dance heritage of our country.
Sheherzade Peerzada
Sheherzade Noor Peerzada is an actress and comedian from Lahore. She has been involved in theater for over a decade, and has been an active member of Lahore’s stand-up comedy circuit for more than 3 years. Sheherzade received a degree in Political Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences in 2019. Her work interrogates the interplay of gender and politics in contemporary Pakistani society.
