Our first TEDxKazimierz event online. We have two special guests: Mark McKergow from Scotland and Mel Rosenberg in Israel.
Please be supportive as we gain experience in delivering high class events to this format. TED is encouraging TEDx organisers all of the world to experiment and innovate as we learn the best ways to share ideas and build community in the time of Coronavirus.
This TEDxKazimierzSalon is on the theme of Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
Our two special guests are:
Professor Mel Rosenberg from Tel Aviv will deliver an original talk on How to succeed by failing 99% . Mel's TED-ED talk has been viewed more that 5 million times. Rosenberg held various faculty academic positions at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine and Goldschleger School of Dental Medicine at Tel Aviv University, and has received honorary appointments at the University of Rochester, University of Pennsylvania, University College London (Eastman Dental Hospital) and University of Toronto. Mel Rosenberg is also a jazz singer and musician, and author of children's books and co-founder of Ourboox, a platform for online publishing of digital picture books
Mark McKergow spoke at TEDxKazimierz in 2018 on the topic of host leadership will also join us, and will be taking questions about his 2018 talk about Host Leadership, which we will watch together, update us on his ideas, and how the talk impacted his life. Dr. Mark McKergow brings new ideas into the world of business and management, with an inimitable combination of scientific rigour and performance pizzazz. Mark is best known for his work on introduction the ideas of Solutions Focus (2002) and Host Leadership (2014), about which he has published extensively and helped to create self-sustaining user communities. He likes ideas and approaches that make things simpler, quicker, cheaper and more respectful – particularly when they are based on something counter-intuitive and game-changing. Mark McKergow leads Sunday Assembly in Scotland and plays a leading role in supporting the movement worldwide. Listen to him on the Project Kazimierz Podcast here More on Mark at http://hostleadership.com.
Mark, Mel, Alina and Richard will form a panel to discuss ideas and take questions/comments from the online audience.
Mark and Mel both play the Saxophone, and will play their instruments for us at the online afterparty. We suggest you bring a bottle or wine, beer vodka or something non-alcoholic to drink while they play.
During the event we will have icebreakers in Zoom breakout rooms
