At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dr. Shantha Sinha

Former Chairperson, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Government of India

Dr Shantha Sinha has always been invested in creating an opportunity and empowering the children to learn and to live their childhood. Sinha earned a PhD from JNU and M.A. in Political Science from Osmania University. She is the founder of the profoundly known MV Foundation (Mamidipudi Venkatarangaiya Foundation) and is currently working as a professor in the Department of Political science in HCU. She is one of the elite people who have been awarded Padma Shree (1999). Recognizing her unparallel contribution to the reduction in child labour in nearly 500 villages of Ranga Reddy district and for her persistent efforts to understand and help the young minds, she has been appointed as the first Chairperson of the NCPCR (National Commission for Protection of Child Rights) by the Government of India. Her journey as a Chairperson has been filled with an unrelenting passion for empowering young minds by releasing them from the shackles of poverty, gender inequality etc.

Manisha Eerabathini

Independent Artist/ Playback Singer

Manisha Eerabathini is an Indian-American playback singer who works in the Telugu Film Industry. She is also an Independent artist who has released 2 original songs, namely Roobaroo and Naalo Thapana. She is trained in Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam. An Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Engineer by degree, Manisha participated in and placed fourth in the Telugu reality-based singing competition, Padutha Theeyaga, which started her career as a musician. Following this, she started performing at (TANA) Telugu Association of North America shows in the US. She was part of an Independent Music Project by Telugu Rapper Roll Rida, called Arupu, which speaks about the injustice faced by women in India. In 2017, Manisha lent her voice as a playback singer in the song Arere Yekkada from the film Nenu Local which topped the charts in the Telugu states. Following this, she has sung a number of songs in TFI as a playback singer, such as Miami, Saturday Night Fever and Don Bosco.

Miss India Nagaland, Miss India 2020 Finalist

Zuchobeni Tungoe is Miss India Nagaland, 2020. She was a finalist in the Miss India pageant, 2020. She is an independent artist, YouTuber and social activist for cancer patients. (her foundation will be live in a few days). Zuchobeni is a professional singer and sings in her leisure too. She says that's a productive hobby. Miss Tungoe bakes cakes, counsels people suffering from depression, writes songs, plays musical instruments etc. She wants the younger generation to redefine success and associating that word with 'money'. "Success is beyond 'money' and the 'race', Zuchobeni says. She wishes for a depression free, happy youth world.

Prachotan Devulapalli

Carnatic Music Vocalist, World Record Holder

Prachotan Devulapalli is Hyderabad based Carnatic vocalist, engineer, and public speaker. A disciple of Raghavachary from Hyderabad Brothers, who had entered Limca's book of world records for identifying 144 ragas at the age of three. The prodigious Carnatic enthusiast began his journey at the age of two by his mother, who pursued BA in music and is a classical music enthusiast and now holds many awards to his name. The prodigious youth holds many achievements, like performing on Rajinikant's 60th birthday and singing in Kamal Hassan's studio. The vocalist still is in pursuit of music, trying to learn as much as possible and spread the beauty of the music he loves to the masses. He does this through public speaking on different platforms, connecting people to music that struck a chord in him at a very young age.

Pranava Nidumolu

Pranava Nidumolu is a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, based in Washington DC. He is the CEO and founder of the Gen Z Leaders, an initiative to create a platform for Generation Z to support, connect, and collaborate with each other. He is also the CEO and co-founder of Innovative Youth, an organization to spark innovation in the minds of children. He was on the organizing committee of the South Asian Youth Symposium, held twice at the White House. The Symposium addresses various aspects of empowering and educating the youth on important subjects such as bullying, future careers, self-confidence, etc. He has been serving as a STEM ambassador for his school since elementary school and has presented his research work multiple times at the USA Science and Engineering Festival. He is one of the youngest Certified Scrum Masters (CSM) in the world. He is also a certified AWS Cloud Practitioner.

Priyal Keni

Chartered Accountant, International Rifle Shooter, Sports Sociopreneur

Priyal Keni is an Indian rifle shooter, chartered accountant, and social entrepreneur. She has represented India at 12 international tournaments, winning a total of 117 medals at national and state-level championships, and breaking 3 National records to date. Apart from her shooting career, Priyal Keni is currently a Chartered Accountant and has played an active part in giving back to society. She founded the Play and Shine Foundation, a pan India non-profit initiative that uses sports as a tool to foster personal and community development in children. She also acted as Deputy Secretary-General with the United Nations Youth India. A humble soul, passionate about shooting, academics, and society, Priyal Keni has certainly broken the glass ceiling to be the unstoppable force we know her to be.

She has associated with a Harvard University incubator and UAE- based social accelerators for promoting women leadership. Having identified the unresolved issue of unemployability and a dearth of women in leadership roles in India, she has decided to educate and empower youth in building a growth mindset and have been promoting learning opportunities for all. She has trained 2500+ students through her workshops.
