Alice Wilson is a PhD candidate at the University of York and studies an examination of tiny housing as a unique and emerging sector within self-build projects. After a short break from education she won an ESRC 1+3 scholarship to complete a PhD on the potential that Tiny Houses have to address inter-generational justice issues, whilst moving us closer to achieving our environmental justice goals as a country and as a planet.

Dr Daria Kuss is a Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist and Associate Professor in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University. She has an international reputation as Internet addiction expert, and is an award-winning author, with her books Internet addiction – Evidence-based practice in psychotherapy (Hogrefe) and The Oxford Handbook of Cyberpsychology (OUP) having been published in 2019. Her research has been covered in international news outlets, including the New York Times, The Washington Post, and the BBC.

Senior Lecturer in Animal and Equine Science
Dr Debbie Nash is a Senior Lecturer in Equine and Animal Science at Aberystwyth University. Her research developed models to enhance the study of the causes of infertility in mares, and she is also studying reproductive physiology, specifically uterine inflammatory disease of horses and cattle, and native pony population genetics. She is an active member of the British Society for Animal Science Programme Committee, and the founder, organiser and chair of the Colloquium for Equine Reproduction.

Jim Moore has decades of management and leadership experience. He has headed up a software engineering team covering EMEA & APAC for a major IT multinational and also founded an HR consultancy firm that specialises in difficult and sensitive people problems. Jim is also a mentor and trusted HR advisor to Directors and CEO’s in small and young companies and serves as the head of HR for one of them. This all relates to Jim’s fascination for psychology – especially relating to conflict, cognitive biases and motivation.

Climber and coach
Robbie Phillips is an Edinburgh based climber and coach. He began his career as a member of the GB competition team, but is better known for his cutting edge ascents on alpine rock, which include becoming the first Briton to climb the infamous ‘Alpine Trilogy’ – Silbergeier 8b+, Des Kaisers neue Kleider 8b+ and End of Silence 8b+.

Researcher in Nuclear Physics
Dr Robin Smith is a Lecturer in Physics at Sheffield Hallam University and holds an honorary Assistant Research Professor post at the University of Connecticut. Robin specialises in experimental measurements of nuclear reactions.
Robin's experimental research in nuclear astrophysics is funded by the US Department of Energy and focuses on helium burning. His work on nuclear reactors is funded by the UK National Nuclear Laboratory’s Advanced Nuclear Fuel Cycle Research Programme and focusses on novel experimental approaches to nuclear data measurements.

Reader in Modern British History
Dr Siân Nicholas is a Reader in Modern British History at Aberystwyth University, where she specialises in modern British history, in particular the social history of the First and Second World Wars, and the history of the mass media, especially the press and broadcasting. She studied History at the University of Cambridge and Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, before completing her DPhil thesis at the University of Oxford.

Senior Lecturer in Computing and Information Systems
Dr Simon Thorne is a Senior Lecturer in Computing and Information Systems at Cardiff Metropolitan University and programme chair of the European Spreadsheets Risks Interest Group (EuSpRIG). Simon researches and publishes work on the phenomena of spreadsheet errors, human factors and machine learning. Simon also oversees the publication of research for EuSpRIG who have now published over 150 papers on spreadsheet error and risk.

Aeolian and coastal geomorphologist
Dr Thomas Smyth is an aeolian (windblown) and coastal geomorphologist, who is a Senior Lecturer the University of Huddersfield. He is predominantly investigating sand dune dynamics and shipwreck site formation processes! In his research he focuses on measuring and modelling near surface fluid dynamics in aeolian, marine and Martian environments.
