At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Akshay Bhosale

Dancer and Choreographer
Akshay Bhosale is a professional dancer and choreographer for more than a decade. He has trained more than 2000 students worldwide. With his amazing dancing skills and dedication, Akshay has won over 50 National level prizes for dancing and over 6 International prizes even after the tragic incident after which he had to undergo several surgeries including a total hip replacement surgery. Akshay has managed to get back physically and mentally to living his life by overcoming the physical restrictions and mental depression with the help of dance! Haimanti Sen

Founder - Junoon NGO
Haimanti Sen is the Founder of Junoon- an NGO that tutors underprivileged kids to help get their right to education. She has redefined the phrases ‘age is just a number’ and ‘where there is a will there's a way’ by initiating to teach underprivileged kids at a skywalk in Kandivali at the age of 22. Her ‘Junoon’ to impart education to the underprivileged is inspirational to many who feel the pangs of compassion but walk on and forget all about trying to help the masses of unfortunate children begging at Mumbai’s signals and stations.

Mitch Altman

Mitch Altman is an international hacker and inventor, best known for inventing TV-B-Gone remote controls, a keychain that turns off TVs in public places. He was a co-founder of 3ware, a successful Silicon Valley startup in the late 1990s, and did pioneering work in Virtual Reality in the mid-1980s. He has contributed to MAKE and other magazines and wrote a chapter for “Maker Pro”, a book about making a living from projects one loves. For the last several years Mitch has been giving talks and leading workshops around the world, encouraging people, sharing how to make cool things with electronics, and teaching everyone to solder. He promotes hackerspaces and open source hardware, and mentors others wherever he goes. He is a co-founder of Noisebridge hackerspace in San Francisco and is President and CEO of Cornfield Electronics.

Ravindra Desai

Director, River Rejuvenation projects, AOL.
Ravindra Desai has two decades of experience in the Information Technology industry specialized in the Retail Banking and Financial Services area. . He has been an Art of Living teacher. He has conducted various courses in Prisons and also worked extensively in rural areas on improving the rural economy (Doubling Farmers Income). He also specializes in understanding the market needs and creating business models for the effective marketing of the farmers’ produce. He has created the “Sri Sri Organic Farm Producers Organization” at Gadag, Karnataka which is a very successful venture now. He has created apps that completely digitize the Supply Chain and Point Of Sale for farmers and integrated with IoT devices for meaningful and needed holistic integration. He now handles all Government and Corporate Relations with regard to River Projects in Art of Living and manages the GIS Lab and IT team to provide technical support for all the River Projects.

Sonal Jain

Menstrual Health Advocate
Sonal Jain (Co-Founder, Boondh) is a Menstrual Health Advocate and lives with PCOS & PMDD. She has been an MHH (Menstrual Health & Hygiene) facilitator since 2013. Her previous work includes facilitating teams for World Merit UK in the space of environmental sustainability and education. She is a Laureate Global Fellow 2018, a World Merit fellow 2015, and a recipient of Microsoft YouthSpark Challenge for Change -Global Award 2015, among other prestigious international fellowships. Her work on SDG 12 was presented at the UN in New York City in 2016. Her everyday activities include empowering conversations and living mindfully.
