KRISTINA DAHL Ph.D. Senior Climate Scientist, Union of Concerned Scientists. Kristina will discuss the difficult choices we will wrestle with, including what are we willing to endure in the name of adapting to climate change if the ways of life we’re accustomed to, are increasingly limited by the conditions outdoors.

DR. KATHARYN BOYER Ph.D Ecologist, Coastal Climate Resiliency Expert: To discuss the local impacts of sea-level rise to the Bay Area, and adaptation efforts underway to buffer wave energy and reduce shoreline erosion while restoring wildlife habitat.

JONATHAN KOOMEY Ph.D. Researcher, Author, and Entrepreneur will discuss: Measuring Success and the Economic Implications of Climate solutions.

REP JARED HUFFMAN- Congressman for California’s 2nd Congressional District will discuss what Governments role can and should be, and what efforts are being planned at the governmental level now

Michel Gelobter Ph.D.

Michel Gelobter is the co-founder of the Green Leadership Trust, a coalition of the people of color and indigenous board members of US environmental organizations. He is the managing director of the non-profit Reflective Earth, chairman of Cooler, inc. (the Climate Change API), and the author of Lean Startups for Social Change: The Revolutionary Path to Big Impact. Michel co-authored the first reports on how climate change disproportionately impacts communities of color in the US and around the world. He also was instrumental in crafting the California Global Warming Solutions Act as well as the carbon fee mechanisms for 11 Northeastern States.

Paul Saffo

Paul Saffo is a Silicon Valley-based forecaster exploring long-term technology trends and their impact on society. He teaches at Stanford and leads Future Studies at Singularity University. In 2008, Saffo was named Distinguished Visiting Scholar in the Stanford Media X research network. He is also a board member of the Long Now Foundation.[1] He has degrees from Harvard College, Cambridge University, and Stanford University.
