Theme: Small Actions - Big Changes

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Mechatronics Engineer

Abdullah Alfakhrey is Mechatronics engineering graduate, one of the founders of Mosul space which is the First Innovation Center which helps the young people to develop their skills to enter the private sector, Abdullah did a project to develop a project for prosthetic limbs that can be controlled by brain waves using artificial intelligence algorithms without the need for any surgical intervention and at a low cost. this project was tested on several people who lost their limbs due to the war of ISIS and terrorism, and these tests achieved promising success with the possibility of developing a final product ready for use by everyone

Ahmed Hameed

University Professor

Dr. Ahmed Hameed passion to dive into the mysterious world of the human brain pushes him always to make his dreams to truths. Starting with his journey to the UK to study MSc. in Biotechnology with a main focus on Parkinson's disease. Followed by another adventure to German where he has done his PhD in molecular medicine focusing this time on Alzheimer’s disease. The big dream has become a truth when the European Patent Office has accepted his PhD thesis as a unique method of Alzheimer disease detection. However, his next dream is to see his method of Alzheimer's early detection as a finished product that helps millions of people around the world.

Ahmed Waheed

Stand up comedian

Ahmed Waheed started to write poems and stories since he was 15 years old, he went to the college of engineering but the numbers and the Differential equations didn't take him from the world of words and songs. Ahmed started to work in the media in 2006, in 2015 he felt that the media didn't give the whole truth so he went to the theater, by performing stand up comedy shows, then he started his own show on social media (Masmota) which continued for three seasons, then he made a plays such as (They elected Hammurabi). Ahmed entered the writing world through the show (Banj Aam), he gained back the memories of writing poems but this time it was through writing political songs performed by the team (Keif Liltahshiesh) leading by the artist Mohamed Qassim.

Alaa Alsheikh

Physiotherapist

Alaa Alsheikh a governmental employee since 2004 holds a bachelor degree in physical therapy and he have also a certificates in media and theater , alaa worked on developing his humanitarian side to help people in need , he tries to find solutions to some problems in his city such as building some bridges to help the people and the students to cross , he contributed to solve some drinking water issues in some villages and he helped several people in need to renovation their houses , he also provides support to young people to find work opportunities , he helped to build housing complex to people in need. Alaa didn't stop at this far his high sense of responsibility towards the others made him constantly think of providing help at any time and circumstances for example at COVID19 epidemic he helped to save the lives of some people and provide their needs in the Quarantine.

Almamon Rasool

14 years experience as a web and mobile applications programmer, 6 years experience as an Artificial intelligence engineer and data scientist, Master in Computer Science majoring in computer vision and artificial intelligence, Google certified as an a professional cloud architecture, he also holds the following certificates in Artificial Intelligence from Facebook: Deep Learning Nano degree Deep Reinforcement Learning for Enterprise Nanodegree NLP Nano degree Winner of the Facebook Artificial Intelligence Challenge in 2018, by beating 10 thousand AI programmers around the world. Winner Facebook Award in 2020 in the Middle East and North Africa, majoring in advanced artificial intelligence.

Asia came up with the idea of reopening and rehabilitation of the one of the most important and oldest churches in Diyala ( Om AL-mashora Alsaliha ) after it has been closed for 13 years because of the wars and after a several volunteering work which intended to deliver a beautiful image of Diyala , specially after 2006/and 2013 after the it became a place for Terrorists , Asia also worked on women empowerment which considered as a the first victim due to the conflicts that this city faced

Dr. Mohammed Al-Hasani sees Baghdad as a dream and his desire to discover its secrets, this took him on a journey to Germany to get the master and PhD in Planning and Preserve of the ancient cities to complete his engineering vision in the design of the old buildings in Baghdad, he found that the sky of Baghdad is bending of the outer space into the being. Dr. Mohammed Al-Hasani seeks to make the people aware of the importance of heritage, which is owned by the country's heritage and cultural identity.

with learning we continue and reach to our goals Ruqya loved to say that to us, Ruqya Alzubaidi, her journey was very difficult but she was able to face it with the support of her family and friends, she continued her study and she was able to be the first on her class, this year Ruqya graduated from law school her ambition is to continue in studying and work for the government, not only that ! She also has other talents such as reading and writing.
