Esha Chakraborti
Student
Esha Chakraborti is a junior at The Academy of Science and Technology in the Woodlands, Texas. Outside of school, she volunteers regularly at Memorial Hermann Hospital, serves as President of the Junior Toastmasters Club, and the Vice President of the school’s DECA chapter (Business Club). In her free time, she enjoys running, listening to podcasts, and reading. For the past few years, Esha has been involved in various environmental projects through which she has learned about and tested several methods that can be used to naturally remediate environmental issues. She is currently working towards achieving her Texas Water Specialist and Stream Team Certifications. In the future, she hopes to merge her passions for the environment and public speaking, by informing communities about the simple ways that they can change their impact on the planet. Esha is excited to deliver her talk on that very topic here at TEDxYouth@TheWoodlands!
Tanmya Tripathi
Student
Tanmya Tripathi is a sophomore at The Woodlands High School. She loves the sciences, English, and art. When she’s not debating about international politics, you’ll find her at an art competition or volunteering for kids. Tanmya owns a fundraising business dedicated to helping child orphans in Rwanda, combining art with fundraising. She enjoys learning about psychology, especially when it comes to kids and teens, as well as discovering new conspiracy theories. Tanmya has also done extensive research regarding dreams and performs a speech about the topic at debate tournaments. In her free time, you’ll find her laughing, writing, talking, drawing, or running.
Valerie Villegas
Student
Valerie Villegas is a Junior at The Woodlands College Park High School. There, she is a member of the DECA chapter, student director of the spring black-box show, and a part of the CP volleyball team. Outside of school, Valerie enjoys volunteering at her church with the children’s ministry and worship team. Her passion for serving Christ and others was nurtured by her parents: Eliseo and Alexandra Villegas. Valerie also thanks her parents for instilling a passion for films, music and food! She is very grateful for this opportunity to speak about her experiences and looks forward to continuing to share her message in the future.
