The theme of the TEDxLeipzigInternationalSchool event is ‘Boundaries’. It is about crossing constraints, challenging yourself, unlimited exploration, finding courage to step out of your comfort zone, in any shape or form.

Anina Morgner is currently studying her second semester of computer science at the HTWK - Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, and is part of the Dezibot team - an educational robot that is meant to revolutionise the way we teach Computer Science in school.

Mr. Eirdosh is an education researcher at the Max Planck institute for Evolutionary Anthropology and founder of the international non-profit organization, Global ESD, working on educational development efforts at the intersection of human evolution, behavior, and sustainability science.

Eliza Rudnicka

Singer

Eliza Rudnicka loved music her entire life and devoted her life to it, currently being an opera singer in Leipzig.

Katarzyna Chudziak

Student

Katarzyna Chudziak is a student in Wroclaw, Poland, and an avid dancer who has competed in the world dance cup 3 times now. Her dance skills led to her being part of (And eventually becoming a spokesperson for) the Polish Academy of Kids, a project in which kids talk about their hobbies and passions to other kids and adults.

Linus Steinmetz

Climate Activist

Linus Steinmetz is a climate activist with Fridays For Future, the youth climate movement initiated by Greta Thunberg. Steinmetz is active as the German spokesperson and organized strikes with more than 1.4 million participants in Germany.

Marie von Manteuffel

Humanitarian Advocacy Officer

Marie von Manteuffel works as Humanitarian Advocacy Officer for Médecins Sans Frontières. Before joining MSF she has campaigned for the rights of undocumented migrants, supported various aid initiatives for Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries and served as humanitarian representative of Caritas Germany.

Max Hübner

Student

Max Hübner is a student at LIS who is currently in grade 12, and is constantly trying to push his own limits. “Seek discomfort” is his motto, which is reflected in his talk, in which he will present his idea that getting into uncomfortable situations is crucial for someone to grow as a person.

Samuel Hillyer

Student

Samuel Hillyer is a recent graduate from Leipzig International School and a great athlete, participating in football, cross country, track and field and volleyball.

Sofie Valk

Researcher at Max Planck Institute

Sofie Valk completed a PhD in social neurosciences and is now a research group leader of the Cognitive Neurogenetics group at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, researching brain structure and social behaviours.

Tymoteusz Niewiarowski

Student

Tymoteusz Niewiarowski is a student going to school in Gdynia, Poland, and is an experienced speaker, having presented his ideas at multiple universities throughout Poland. He is very passionate about nuclear energy, which he is going to talk about in the event.
