She had to face so many troubles throughout her journey but returned much stronger and more ambitious. A BOLD and BRILLIANT woman in the field of entrepreneurship. Ambika Pillai experienced many pitfalls in her career but she remained resolute and undeterred and had succeeded in creating an empire. An inspiration to all, in terms of breaking one's limits and reaching one's fullest potential. An epitome of resilience.

Asha Scaria Vettoor

Asha SCARIA, a philanthropist by nature, during her Gandhi fellowship found it extremely hard to mobilise villagers and give them a sense of ownership for their villages. To put an end to poverty, unemployment and exploitation in the villages of Rajasthan, she put her love for clothes to empower the rural women. She founded SWARA to employ, enable,educate and to mobilise the works of rural women to a nationwide platform. She enabled the rural women to break the chains of stereotypical roles by engaging them in professions like modelling, designing and marketing through capacity building and mentorship. She filled the gap between demand for quality Indo -Western clothes from urban clients and the rural workforce of Dungarpur, Rajasthan, who needed an engaging livelihood.

Jis Sebastian is a conservation ecologist working with both plants and animals. She is a staunch enthusiast in wildlife conservation.She is adventurous and she had taken many initiatives to learn of the enigmatic aspects of nature, most notably ,study of orchids as indicators to environmental change. A ground breaking revelation that gave her recognition and many accolades. She is a bold and Independent woman who raised her voice against gender based discrimination and an inspiring figure, who refused to back down from her goals and dreams.

Mathew Joji

Head, Strategy, Product Development & Communications, IJM Kolkata

Mathew Joji has been working with IJM since 2013. IJM is an international, non-governmental organisation focused on protecting the poor from violence. It works to combat various forms of violence that are perpetrated against the poorest, including human trafficking, child sexual assault, police abuses of power etc. As a representative of IJM, he seeks to support his team in providing justice. Growing up in Ethiopia, Mathew was keenly aware of the suffering faced by the poor he could see around him. He was unable to look past the pain that these people were going through and the ways in which justice is often denied to them. Through bold and innovative vision, he seeks to end the violent crime of human trafficking in India

She is a renowned playback singer in Malayalam and Tamil industry. With her baritone voice she managed to be one of the well famed singers in south Indian film industry. She started her career working under the legendary Indian music director A.R Rahman. Under his chastisement she made a significant mark in the industry. She was disregarded and underrated throughout pursuing her aspirations. In spite of all that she fought hard against all exclusions, made herself become a singing sensation, a dubbing artist and a promising music director.

A person who broke all stereotypes and quit her job as a police officer to achieve her passion as a rider and a traveler. She set up the first women rider club in Kerala, Dauntless Royal Explorers and is a person who wish to provide a platform for women and also spread awareness. Whenever she goes for a trip she always make sure that its done for a cause and consistently bring a better change in the society in any way she can. She is the perfect example of how one can balance ones work-life, personal life and also fulfill their responsibility to the society without blaming the circumstances.

Usha Rengaraju

Artificial Intelligence Developer; Unicorn Data Scientist

Usha Rengaraju is the first woman developer of Artificial Intelligence in India. Her love for Mathematics and Statistics attracted her to the field of Artificial Intelligence and she understood it was the NORTHERN STAR!! One bold step leads to another beginning. She conducted India's first Neuro AI conference. She made her own mark by taking the BOLD step to follow her passion and proved that gender isn't a barrier for doing something you are passionate about. As part of this initiative, she is currently working as the ambassador at AI Med (a group of enthusiasts and expert physicians and AI experts)
