In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Allen (Junsu) Kim

Born in the Republic of Korea (ROK) in 2004, Allen (Junsu) Kim attended Valor International Scholars since the beginning of secondary school. Throughout his high school career, Allen (Junsu) Kim studied various subjects relating to science, mathematics, and engineering, inspiring him to want to study Mechanical Engineering and Business passionately at American colleges. Allen (Junsu) Kim dreams of starting his own business, a process in which is currently in progress. Jonghun Lee was born in South Korea and currently lives in Busan. At the beginning of his high school career, Jonghun studied in Pennsylvania for two years as an international student, however, he had to return back to South Korea due to COVID-19. Since then, this speaker has attended Valor International Scholars from September of 2020. Won is a young girl who was highly interested in writing and loved to share and report on how the world is going on in public. She is planning to major in Journalism in college in America. Moreover, she wants to handle the second interest ‘environment’. Born in South Korea in 2002, Haram Jang finished 9 years of her education in Korea and then moved to China to study abroad for three years. Due to COVID-19, she returned back to South Korea and has been attending Valor International Scholars since then. With his passion for technology and music, Han is also a Student Intern at Machine Learning and Visual Computing Laboratory and is researching ‘Music Composition Based on Classification of Perception of Emotion in Music Using Machine Learning. Han seeks to challenge the dualities and binarism created by society as parameters.
