In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Bryant Moore

Educator, Author, Community Activist
Bryant Moore is an educator, published author, and community activist. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor's in History and National Louis University with a Masters followed by a Doctorate in Education. For the past ten years, he has worked in marginalized communities, mentoring, teaching, and advocating for the underrepresented and was listed in the Rockford Register Star's "2017 People to Watch" and Northwest Quarterly 2018 "25 Most Interesting People" for his work in the community. He has a deep-rooted passion for improving equity in schools and understands the consequences for children in classrooms that lack inclusive education.

Kristyn Ivey

KonMari Consultant, Home Stylist, Author
Kristyn Ivey is Chicago’s first certified KonMari Consultant and Home Stylist, founder of For the Love of Tidy, co-host of Spark Joy podcast and author of the Amazon best seller The Tidy Home Joy Journal. As a professional organizer, she’s dedicated to teaching busy families, professionals, and creative entrepreneurs how to let go of “stuff” to attract a truly abundant life. Dedicated to Marie Kondo’s mission to inspire the world to choose joy, Kristyn helps clients declutter their way to becoming Graduates of Tidy and masters of life.

Lauren Schrero

Disability Activist, Executive Director
Lauren Schrero is the co-founder and Executive Director of The Nora Project, a nonprofit organization providing disability inclusion training and curriculum to teachers. Before becoming a disability activist, Lauren was a litigator and federal law clerk. She received her B.A. from Macalester College and J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Lauren lives with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs in Highland Park.
