Balaji Ganeshan

Founder, TexRAD

Dr. Balaji Ganeshan is the CEO of TexRAD (Texture analysis of Radiological Images for Medical (Cancer) & holds PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Sussex. He is now the Global Business Development Director at Feedback Medical and is the main scientific advisor. Dr. Ganeshan also holds the position of Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine at University College London.

Jack Kreindler

Futurist

Dr Jack Kreindler is a physician, physiologist and serial technology entrepreneur. Since 1997, alongside his career as a doctor in emergency and high altitude medicine, Jack has worked with, founded and incubated numerous pioneering ventures in information technology, biosensors and machine intelligence. His projects include Douglas Adams’ H2G2.com (acquired by the BBC), Vielife (acquired by CIGNA) and Sentrian Remote Patient Intelligence. His career spans 20 years of highest level medical practice, information technology, emergency medicine & high altitude physiology. Jack and his ‘Weird and Wonderful’ team of thought leaders dedicate much of their time to public engagement promoting transformative innovation in healthcare and the life sciences for organisations including Founders Forum, Singularity University, TEDxLondon, The Science Museum and WIRED. Jack lectures globally on the future of medicine and is frequent television presenter for CNBC, Sky Sport, BT Sport and the BBC.

Patience Mthunzi (TED Video)

Laser scientist

Patience Mthunzi is a research group leader at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in Pretoria, South Africa. There, she uses laser "tweezers" to try and separate diseased cells from healthy ones. She's also developed a way to use laser pulses to target drug delivery into cells. Born in Soweto, Patience got her PhD in physics from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. In 2012, she was named one of 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa by Forbes magazine; that same year she was given the Order of Mapungubwe for her contribution in the field of biophotonics. She's also a TED Fellow.

Shayamal Vallabhjee

Shayamal is a sports scientist and an EQ consultant, who has worked as a performance coach to various high profile athletes, assisting them to enhance their competitive edge. His audience is all ears as he shares interesting anecdotes about various teams and the players, offering a sneak-peek into what makes these successful personalities the achievers they are. Drawing from his experience of more than a decade in the sports world, identifying and grooming winning traits in people, Shayamal has helped numerous organisations develop a culture of innovation and adaptability to keep their businesses agile in a competitive environment. Some of his key focus areas include: maximising focus, team building, creating a culture of excellence, and handling pressure.
