The first TEDxGatewayArch event is officially on!
Rather than having live speakers, it will be conducted in a fashion closer to TEDx salon style events in which the audience watches video of a TED talk, then discusses it in an open forum. The talk will not be announced beforehand in order for the group to watch it for the first time together.
The hope is that this event will not only introduce people in St. Louis to TED talks for the first time but that it will serve as a way for an eclectic group of smart folks to meet one another.
If successful, the plan will be to hold TEDxGatewayArch events on a regular, reoccurring basis.
