Theme: Ripples: Even the smallest drop creates waves

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Mossalli was the only Arab professional invited to the Celebration of Design Gala in 2015, hosted by the former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. This cemented the entrepreneur’s status as a leader and ambassador for the regional fashion scene in the Middle East. Mossalli was also invited to the Cultrunners Public Storytelling Symposium, which was a joint venture between Art Jameel, Edge of Arabia and MIT’s Program in Art, Culture & Technology.

Since 2013, she has worked pro bono as an activist in human rights and politics. Independently from political parties, as apart of civil society, which she sees as the driving engine of all change in the human realm. Working hand in hand with several groups and organizations, collaborating with world wide movements, she has led and organized diverse kinds of social and political activities in Europe, chieflyin Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium. She has brought the voice of Venezuelans to the European Parliament and the German Parliament on several occasions.Together with a group of Venezuelans living in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia at herside, she founded in 2017 the “Einheit fürVenezuela”. This movement works in defense of human rights, freedom, peace, and the return of democracy in Venezuela, through information and activism work.
