In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ayako Soda

Fundo Dai Goyo Co., Ltd. Product Development Office
Born in Nagasaki in 1985. She studied food processing at the Faculty of Fisheries, Nagasaki University, and was interested in the work of product development. In 2008, she started working at Fundo Dai Goyo Co., Ltd., soy sauce and miso maker in Kumamoto. She belongs to the Product Development Department and has been involved in the design and development of seasonings such as soy sauce and miso since joining the company. In 2019, a milestone year of 150 years since its foundation, she invented and created transparent soy sauce.

Hana

Artist/Actress
Hana was born in 2000. As a performer, she has been active in different activities such as an art, an act, talk show and an exhibition, etc. Last year, using a crowdfunding, she went on a trip to see a Japanese traditional craft. In addition, she walked across Japan this year. She draws attention as an unique artist. Her motto is “ to be more colorful around the world”, and she scatters the happiness seeds through her expressions.

Karin Matsumori

Universal design adviser who connects the world of audibleness and the world of inaudibleness/Director of International Association for Universal Design (IAUD)
When sha was in the 4th grade , she lost her hearing of right ear. She also lost her hearing of left ear during her junior high and high school days. She graduated from design department, Tsukuba junior college. When she was a college student, she did her research on barrier-free in Disneyland, which provided a sparkle for her to hold universal design as life theme. From the standpoint of knowing the world of both audibleness and inaudibleness, she mainly gives lectures, works as a university lecturer, and engages in writing activities. She also gives advice on how to convey easy-to-understand information, communication, accessible things and services. And for the first time in Japan in 2017, she organized and supervise “dialogue in silence“ and worked as a caretaker there with expanding her activities. “Dialogue in silence“ is an entertainment people can enjoy dialogue rising across the language barrier in a silent world. Her strength is “not being able to hear.“

Masahito Miyagawa

Masahito Miagawa was born in 1978 in Tobase Island, Kumamoto prefecture as the third generation of flower farmers. After graduating from Tokyo University of Agriculture, he had a training in flowers and started working for Miyagawa Western Orchard ltd. to do flower-related business. When he got married, he started western orchard web shop and won annual MVP of Rakuten Market. In 2016, his grand mother was thinking of giving up farming because of damages by wild boar and said, "I think I quit farming " , which roused himself to action. He decided to “protect his own local area and field “ and formed “Kumamoto Farmers Hunter“ with 100 young farmers. Making full use of his own trap and loT device, he does battle with several hundreds of wild boars annually. awards received ・the 9th Enterprises we want to value most in Japan prize Jury's Special Award ・Biodiversity Action Award Mimister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Prize
