TEDxYouth@RizalStreet hopes to deliver discussions and ideas based on how we think, how we understand and how we solve different issues and situations. There are different ways of approach and different ways of thinking for the same situation. Everybody's view of the world is different, and it all comes down to the thinking patterns you use in your daily life.

Christine Joy Gipit is somewhat an unconventional philosopher. She’s a free-spirited individual who has dreams and aspirations of great heights, ones as high as Mount Bulusan and as feisty as that of the famed Mayon Volcano. She has a soft spot for the underprivileged and wants to use her voice to inspire and motivate other people. She believes that a greater perspective can make one more receptive to different ideas, and that can definitely take a person to places. She loves the arts, poetry, and the complexity of the law – which gave her the decision to become an attorney.

Youth Advocate. Student. National Mr. Supreme Student Government 2018.

Hailing from Bulan, Sorsogon, Jamil knows the endeavors of a hard-working individual. Taking up the STEM track for senior high school, being an active student leader in school organizations, and engaging in dance and dance choreography, it’s clear that he has a lot on his plate, so to speak. Nonetheless, he’s an advocate of youth empowerment and in spreading happiness and positivity in the community.

A grade 12 student aspiring in the future to become a doctor who specializes in children with special needs. An ambivert who loves to read and collect books, box, paints and write poems. Also a proud member of the pageant industry for it allows her to advocate and inspire others.

The urge to explore and seek novelty has always been a certain characteristic natural of us human beings. This is most to Ms. Jing. An altruistic, forward-thinking ambivert, she believes anything is possible in our era. She is loyal, fair and she confronts all problems head on, determined with her goals. God is her all, and her family is her foundation. Like her son, an inquisitive child, she has an open mind, never losing that sense of wonder.

Karlo Pineda

Persistent and determined, Karlo Pineda is a lively ‘busy bee’. He enjoys situations like prolonged practice sessions, and intellectual, and immersive activities that most people would find monotonous. A public speaker, events host, he is also a former DJ and voice actor at GMA Network Inc. Manila. An active volunteer of JCI Pili Isarog, he also participates as a speaker in many secondary education seminars. In addition to all that, he is a dance creator and mentor. One of the founders and Artistic Directors of Bicol All Stars Entertainment, he is determined to teach dance to students all over Bicolandia through the summer workshops of the organization he helped founding.

Kim Tumalad takes pleasure in sharing knowledge on starting and cherishing small and humble beginnings. She started as an online seller at the age of 19 and is now the owner of Blank Beast PH Concept Store which was established last 2016. To add to that, she even has her own organic cosmetics brand named, Kitten's Kiss. She loves travelling and is now making it as another way to earn when she joined a travel agency and is recently now a WCA Affiliate. She’s an advocate of mental health awareness & believes that life has many phases & believes that people should just have to trust the process. Speech engagements in different schools are also in her list to inspire the youth to do what they love, and that there is strength in not giving up.

And more importantly, he believes that all it takes to change the world is YOU.

Born in Gubat, Sorsogon, he worked for fast food chains and banks for some time but eventually stopped to focus on his hobby that he turned to business with his friends. And this business you might be thinking? Why, it’s the famous Lola Sayong Surf Camp. Noli John is a surfer turned entrepreneur.

A socio-civic community leader with a strong background in medical education and research. Practicing as an Internist-Cardiologist, she is also a professor in Bicol University College of Medicine. Inspiring others as a physician who rose from poverty. Every member of the community has a responsibility for the well-being and improvement of their communities. However, there are some who choose to work on issues that they care about, issues that when solved, leads to the greater good of the people. We call these people community leaders and there is definitely more room in this world for more community leaders. Dra. Ofelia is one with strong ties in the fields of medical education and research.
