In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anand Gokani

A Consultant Physician with Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases as a speciality, sir has practiced medicine at the Bombay Hospital for the past 32 years. In addition to practising medicine he lectures students, on issues ranging from specific medical issues to esoteric subjects of universal interest and application. He also conducts seminars and workshops on stress management, leadership, and ethics. He is a trustee at the Bombay Medical Aid Foundation and founded a Palliative Care Ward at the hospital to care for terminally ill patients.

Gundeep Singh

Technology evangelist, hacker and strategist

Gundeep Singh, an alumnus of Columbia University, is an accomplished technology leader and hacker, investor, and entrepreneur. Currently, with Myntra, Mr. Singh has founded an information security consultancy company and has work experience with Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, and Amazon. At Harvard University, while pursuing a management degree, he also taught multiple graduate-level courses across Management, Psychology, and Computer Science. Author of a book at age 22, he has to his credit today, over forty research publications and articles. Winner of the Top 50 Tech Leaders Award, his list of laurels includes the International Award for Young People.

Jeroninio Almeida

Sir is an internationally celebrated and much sought Leadership Coach, Management Consultant, Motivational Orator and Master Storyteller. As a Life and Executive Coach Jerry has worked with several CEOs, a few politicians and young parliamentarians and movie & sport stars. Mr. Almeida Sir also recently signed the biggest and most unique publishing deal in India with his bestselling Karma Kurry – ‘The hero in me’ book series and decided to give all the royalties to social causes.

Nabila Jamshed

Ms. Nabila Jamshed is a global governance specialist currently working with the United Nations, and a vocal public voice for multilateralism and global cooperation and in building international peace and security. She has a Master’s degree in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford, and was a part of the Nobel Peace Prize winning team in the OPCW for its work in Syria.

Sriram Venkateswaran Iyer

Sriram is currently the Vice President for Apps Engineering Group and few others in Flipkart. Sir passed out of REC, Trichy (now NIT, Trichy) in 2000, and has been in the tech industry ever since. Prior to Flipkart, he worked in bootstrapping Myntra Labs to launch Roadster Go, world’s first 100% RFID store, and ran Ola Innovation Labs to launch Ola Autoconnect WiFi and Ola Play - World’s first connected car platform built for a ride-sharing economy. At 24 he published the book “Embedded Realtime Systems Programming” for McGrawHill, which is one of the standard texts for Indian Universities for the subject.

Tathagata Chowdhury

Mr. Tathagata Chowdhury is the founder of Theatrecian. the bbc4 declared Theatrecian as the most prolific youth theatre company in the country in the year 2007. As an actor he has performed in over 200 productions several television serials and a feature film. He has directed plays authored by Agatha Christie, Girish Karnad, Harold Pinter, John Osborne , to name a few. Ove the years, he represented India in the Theatre Science project in the UK ,and in Ohio, where he performed a self scripted play, the Mumbai Zoo. The play won best script and best actor awards in several festivals. He had 26 finisher marathon medals including 3 full marathons.
