The Second Law of Thermodynamics stated that the state of entropy of the entire universe, as an isolated system, will always increase over time. It also defined as energy dispersion and how spread out the energy will be. It is the same as the motivation and energy that we tried to bring out to people, to spread out the positive thinking and vibes to others, and let them keep on spreading throughout the universe and never stop.

Anne Tham

Teacher / Founder of Sri Emas International School, Dwi Emas International School

Her team and her are providing a fresh and interesting way to educate through dynamic and interactive learning methods. Driven by the idea of being able to provide students with the essential foundations to learning, she spearheaded the change by starting the ACE EdVenture Programme in 1995 which offers students the chance to learn the academic skills required to succeed on all levels as early as the primary years. Soon, Anne has been building up three schools — Sri Emas International School, Dwi Emas International School and a private tutoring centre, with a total of 1,600 students enrolled. Not only are her methods aimed at transferring knowledge and skills in a fun and inspiring way but she is also teaching the students to be entrepreneurs.

Dr. Mohd Rosli Mohd Hasan

Academic Staff

Dr. Rosli who has brought all that American stuff back here. He is currently an academic staff in highway engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (Engineering Campus). He received a doctoral degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University. Dr. Rosli has published at least 80 papers in several local and international journals, and conference proceedings. His research focuses on sustainable transportation materials and asphalt technology. He also served as a reviewer to numerous journals and conferences.

Eddie Putera

Veteran Artist

Eddie Putera, a well-known veteran artist on Malaysian grounds, is an expert in the business of art from painting, sculpting and photography for as long as 20 years. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he established Glitters Studios in 2008 and built his name as the "Master of Studio and Portraits Lighting". Pre-armed with skills and natural talent, he ventured into diorama and miniature art that he describes as an extension of his visual stories from 2D to 3D. "Humans need art as food for the soul. As a photographer and visual artist, I am the chef who is dedicated to provide the best food I could muster in the world." -Eddie.

Gary Liew

Street Feeder

A group of young people would purchase packets of Nasi Lemak Bumbung from a nearby eatery and distribute them to the homeless people around the area in front of St John’s Cathedral and engage them where they were. This consistent Act of Love grew and drew many others, developing today into an NGO called the Street Feeders of KL. Gary Liew is the founder of Street Feeders of KL who has one simple aim – to change the world, one street at a time. Gary has been involved in feeding the homeless for the past 15 years. He started off helping his mother at a soup kitchen in Bukit Nenas, a humanitarian effort that still runs till this very day. Inspired by the words spoken during World Youth Day celebration in Sydney 2008, “What legacy will you leave to young people yet to come? What difference will you make?”, Gary took the initiative to contribute in humanitarian efforts.

Jason Shyang

Engineer / Comic Artist

A bit like Batman, but instead of Gotham, Jason's heroic territory is Penang. Engineer by day, Comic Artist by night. Born and raised in Butterworth, Penang, his day job as an engineer at an engineering firm does not stop him from drawing after work and on weekends for J&Y Productions and his books. Currently, @thepotatocouple is only a few followers away from half a million followers on instagram. Jason is clearly making the most out of his talent and passion (his love for art and his girlfriend hehe). Maybe you should start doodling your crush across the lecture hall during calculus. Who knows where that may lead you to in 5 years

Joseph Koh

Chief Technology Officer of Solar NRJ Sdn Bhd

Joseph, the Chief Technology Officer of Solar NRJ Sdn Bhd which is renewable energy service provider. He and his members always strive to provide on-grid and off-grid solutions which include multiple energy systems with solar PV, hydrogen fuel cell, electrolyzer, hydrogen storage and battery storage. He used to collaborate with other universities in Malaysia and won awards in more eco-races. As an environment enthusiast, he practices lifestyle which can reduce the carbon released to the environment to negative.

Nicholas Sheum

Head of Design for Social Enterprise Biji-biji initiative

Circular economy is an economic system aimed at eliminating waste and promoting a sustainable future without waste. Every product is designed for multiple cycles or use. Nicholas Sheum who works in close proximity with ME.REKA Makerspace, urges different industries to arm to prototype creative solutions. A speaker and an architecture graduate, Nicholas Sheum is also the head of design for social enterprise Biji-biji initiative. By leading reading sessions, he aims to let more people understand visual culture in relation to the politics of space with CounterCartographies.

Soonufat Supramaniam

Teacher

Mr Soonufat A/L Supramaniam (more notoriously known by students as Sir Soon 😎) is a teacher at SMK Lubok Buntar, Serdang, Kedah. He had conducted many amazing projects including the "Find Your Light" project whereby his students and him did 9 shows called Maya Musical for Georgetown Festival. Recently, he also organised "Singing to the Lions" theater whereby 5 schools worked together to create an anti-bullying show at Penang Pac. He is the Teach for Malaysia 2015 fellow and owns Leadsire Academy, an innovative education centre working towards making learning fun and relevant again through innovative teaching practices that focus on mastery based learning.

Su Yin Chan

Owner of Yin’s Sourdough Bakery and Yin’s WholeFood Manufactory

Chan Su Yin, owner of Yin’s Sourdough Bakery and Yin’s WholeFood Manufactory, supervises every step from preparing the starter to the ingredients from before the dough is pushed into the oven. A baker who follows strictly the fermentation method, she does not use commercial yeast in any of her bakings. Instead, she cultivates her own sourdough culture to naturally ferment all of her baked goods the concept will also be the same; most of the ingredients will be locally sourced and every item will be made from scratch. With all her love and passion in baking, she wants to change how people perceive bread, nutrition, and the environment. For her it’s all about health, taste, education, connection, and community. It’s impossible to separate how we choose our bread from how we treat our soil and how we farm our grain. “Baking is fun and though I am running a business, to me, making a profit is secondary.”

Well-known as an online content creator for her work as former MGAG crew member and her portrayal as "Asian Mom”, Tata captures the essence of our typical lives and naturally turns it into a comedy. Having had 9 years of video production experience, Tata has developed a diverse set of skills through various stages in her career. She eventually took the leap of faith to pursue her dream of starting up her own video production studio to create content that is not just funny but meaningful too. It’s just the beginning of her new venture and she strongly believes that one needs to have plans if you were to give up everything to pursue your dream because by merely just having a dream without plannings and efforts, chances are you are not going to excel it.
