In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx where x = independently organized TED event,is a program of local, self-organized events, operated under license from the TED conference, that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Therefore, TEDxAUSTAbuja, with the theme, "Excellence redefined in style" is a project that sources and celebrates innovation, insights and new ideas in advanced STEM education, technology-driven entrepreneurial initiatives and women empowerment mechanism,all embodied in a diverse cultural exchange and originating from one of the Pan-African centres of excellence, African University of Science and Technology (AUST) Abuja.
From the pre-event promotions to the event's TED Talks videos,scintillating live speakers and performers expounding these ideas, and subsequent post-event activities, the project combines to spark deep discussions and connections that strengthen and promote human capital for inclusive economic growth and development in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.
