In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ajay Chopra

Chef

Mr. Ajay Chopra is one of the most renowned celebrity chefs of India and London. He began his career with the Cecil Oberoi in Shimla and then got enrolled in OCLD , where he developed a passion for food and cooking. Chef Ajay started working with JW Marriott, he also worked in London and during this time he became one of the well renowned faces in the food factory. Later, he also appeared in TV shows where he taught cooking to beginners and judged one of the famous cooking competitions-"Masterchef India, Season 1 and 2". Adding to the never ending list, he is also responsible for food, beverage and banqueting operations of the hotel, The Westin Mumbai Garden City, which includes 'Prego'-the finest Italian restaurant in Mumbai, 'Kangan' which is acclaimed for its breathtaking north west frontier food and 'Seasonal Tastes'-the 24 hour multi cuisine. Chef Ajay Chopra has worked with some of the most prestigious names around the world like Gordon Ramsay and Angela Harn.

Anjan Mukherjee

Scientist

Mr. Anjan Mukherjee is a perfect example of how it takes just our will and initiative to become unstoppable in life. Aged 59 years, Mr. Mukherjee started Taraltec solutions, a Mumbai based company with his wife in the year 2017 in an effort to help solve the water crisis with the aid of The Taraltec Disinfection Reactor that he invented. Mr. Mukherjee was a former marine engineer and his love for machines lead to him doing various experiments in life and co-authoring a book on ship recycling. His journey began when he decided to become an IIT Bombay dropout in order to follow his passion by choosing to pursue marine engineering, following which he pursued MBA from IIM Bangalore. Moreover, he is also a winner of India Innovation Growth Program 2.0 in 2017 (and also in 2012) from the DST (GoI) and had accompanied the Honorable Prime Minister to Israel to showcase the Taraltec technology at Tel Aviv. He is truly a person to look up to, with a story worth knowing.

Jubin Nautiyal

Everyone's heartthrob with music to give us palpitations, we are beyond honored to have Mr. Jubin Nautiyal as one of our speakers. Featured in Forbes' 30 under 30 list, he has firmly established himself as one of the front-runners with massive hits like 'Kuch Toh Bata', 'Ik Vaari Aa' and 'Kaabil Hoon' . Showing inclination towards music at a ripe age of four owing to his father's love for singing, Jubin always knew that he wanted to be a singer. He has emerged as a passionate singer who doesn't believe in conforming himself to a single style of singing. Needless to say, Jubin has been donning multiple hats and excelling at it. Owing to his extraordinary work, Jubin has received multiple accolades for his work including the 'Upcoming Male Vocalist of the Year' at 8th Mirchi Music Awards, 2016 for his song "Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata (reprise)" from Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dadasaheb Phalke Excellency Award in 2017 under the 'Best Playback Singer (male) for his title track 'Kaabil Hoon'.

Piyush Goswami

Mr. Piyush Goswami is a documentary photographer/film maker by profession and has also contributed to various writing portals. An NIT, Karnataka passout, Mr. Goswami is the founder of Rest Of My Family, a not for profit social-work-through-art organization. Mr. Goswami is a living example of how little acts of kindness go a long way. In 2013, Piyush and his partner gave away their homes and belongings to live a life on the road and travel to different places to understand their role and responsibility towards the society at large. This journey gave rise to the philosophy of Rest of My Family. Piyush along with his partner started to eventually feel that all communities they were meeting on their journey was a part of their family, they started to empathize with their woes and through this mega-drive, they have documented and initiated support for various causes.

Rabindra Narayan

Mr. Rabindra Narayan is the Founder, Managing Director and President of G Next Media Pvt. Ltd. -PTC Network; world's number one Punjabi Television Network. A passionate writer and a dedicated mediaman, Mr. Narayan has a profound sense of art and media through his various experiences. A theatre worker from Delhi and a respected journalist, he served as the Editor with the Weekly SUN and also worked with Sunday Mail. Mr. Narayan launched ETC Punjabi and headed ZEE PUNJABI before launching the PTC Network. He is the person who brought Gurbani from Golden Temple to the television screen. In an age where media holds an immense impact over every aspect of our lives, his success story definitely deserves all ears.

Ridhi Dogra

She is a renowned face in the Indian television industry. An actor, model and dancer; Ms. Ridhi Dogra has gained a name for her exquisite charm and dedication. Before she entered the television industry, Ms. Ridhi was a dancer in the Shiamak Dawar Dance Institute. A graduate in Psychology Honors from the Kamala Nehru College (DU), Ridhi's first job in the industry was as a co-producer on zoom. Her hits include Qayamat Ki Raat, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi (Season 6), Nach Baliye 6 among many others. She was also rewarded the 'Best Actor in Negative Role (Female)' award in 2017 at the Gold awards for her excellent work in 'Woh Apna Sa'.

Tithi Tewari

Mrs. Tithi Tewari, ‘Founder and Managing Director SmartVizX, the creators of India’s first fully immersive VR product for the building industry, Trezi. Looking beyond the ordinary horizons, she is one among the creators of expansive environments that are not only interactive but also futuristic. They stimulate potential users in to a surreal experience of avenues and spaces that haven't been physically built yet. They transform the elements of the real world in to the virtual one and vice versa. Imagination knows no bounds for them- it fuels their enthusiasm every single day. With over 18 years of experience in the design and architecture industry, Tewari spent 15 years in senior leadership roles, and also founded AptetudeX—a creative architecture and interior design firm in 2014, followed by SmartVizX in 2015. She is passionate about design and the amalgamation of traditional and modern architecture.

Ven. Geshe La Dorji Damdul

Director of Tibet House,New Delhi

Ven. Geshe La Dorji Damdul is the Director of Tibet House, New Delhi, which is the Cultural Centre of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and he is also the official translator to His Holiness (since 2005). The term 'Geshe' means "Doctor of Buddhist Philosophy and dialectics". He has done his Geshe Lharampa Degree from Drepung Loseling Monastic University. Geshe La Dorji Damdul has translated many texts from Tibetan to English such as the seminal works of Ancient Indian Masters Arya Nagarjuna's "Mulamadyamikakarika" (Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way) and Acharya Shantideva's "Bodhicaryavatara" (Wisdom Chapter). These works of the great philosophers of the Ancient Indian University of Nalanda composed in Sanskrit 1200 years ago, were totally lost in the Indian tradition. It is only through such translations from the Tibetan that the world, at large, has learnt of this philosophical culture. He has been serving as the Director of Tibet House since March 2011.
