Overcoming adversity. It’s practically a character trait for most Newfoundlanders. We like to hang our hats on it, as well we should. Be it carving out a vibrant culture from our rocky soil, wowing audiences on the national stage, going global with a small tech startup, or overcoming a personal roadblock in an ingenious way, there’s no challenge we can’t win when we put our minds to it. It’s that innate drive, that perseverance, that brilliance that makes us who we are. And celebrating it is the mission of TEDx St. John’s.
