Our theme is BEYOND COMMON GROUNDS. We want to see what lies beyond the commonality of the already known perspectives to bring awareness among the masses.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Binish Sarwar Khan

Certified Public Health, Nutrition, Food Safety and Hygiene Expert

Binish Sarwar Khan is a Certified Public Health, Nutrition, Food Safety and Hygiene Expert and wrote the Instruction Manual for Teachers and Students on “Principles of Balanced Diet and Personal Hygiene”. She did 100+ worksops on wellness, food safety, Stress Management, Anxiety, gender sensitization, Personal Hygiene, Career Counseling, Nutrition, Public Health, Fitness and Wellness. She did M.Sc (Hons) and now is a Ph.D Scholar at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. She also did PGD in Stress Management from Institute of Counseling, UK. Currently she is working as lecturer in university of agriculture, Head of Nutrition Department and Consultant Dietitian and Community Nutritionist in national hospital. As an Community Nutrition Activist she is working from last 15 years in this field wellness and serving the community.

Hamza Khurram

Social Welfare And Entrepreneurship

Hamza Khurram is currently a student at Lahore School of Economics. His journey in motivational speaking started 6 years ago and has since inspired many young hearts by talking about culture and identity in today's Pakistan. He published his first book 'Alif' in 2017 which talks about interfaith harmony and has since been invited by various institution around the country to talk about social welfare and entrepreneurship. He is also is the founder of Qeemat, a social enterprise driven by the idea of eradicating forced prostitution in Pakistan. All of these projects are a product of this drive to bring about a positive change within our society.

Mazhar Hayat

Startup Advocate

Mazhar Hayat, a metaphor for ideas, is widely cherished as a fun-spiriational speaker, startup advocate and literature enthusiast. He is not only coordinating the Marketing Department at UCP but he is also managing his entrepreneurial ventures incl Hayat Events & Startup School Pakistan as founder and CEO. He is also the flag bearer and curator of UCP Ideas Expo, a grand annual exhibition of startup ideas. During last year, Mazhar supervised & mentored 60+ entrepreneurial projects including some award winning startup ideas. He is a member of StartupGrind and Speaker/Mentor at Startup Weekend. He recently gave a talk at TEDx Kinnaird 2020.

Usman Arif is an ambitious Electrical Engineer, a graduate of PIEAS. While Spending his life as an academic high achiever he decided to change his "nerd tag" by indulging himself in unique social activities and community work. During his journey he developed a rare sense about different phenomenons of life and deduced a completely exquisite perception of life.
