TEDxResedaBlvd is an independently organized event. The theme is Connected. Reseda Blvd is a connecting street through the heart of the San Fernando Valley—like a major artery, it connects the people and industries of this historic region of Los Angeles California.

The Airtel Plaza is located on the property of the Van Nuys Airport, which has connected the San Fernando Valley through flight since 1928. It is known as one of the busiest general aviation airports in the world. The Airtel was built for the 1984 Olympics, bringing the world’s athletes together for the games.

TEDxResedaBlvd connected an array of speakers and performers in the heart of the San Fernando Valley in a day filled with ideas, inspiration, fun, and networking.

Donald Prothero

Adjunct Professor of Geology, Cal Poly Pomona

Dr. Donald Prothero has taught geology, paleontology, and planetary geology at the college level for 40 years at places such as Caltech, Columbia, and Occidental College. He is the author of 44 books and over 300 scientific papers, and has received numerous professional awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Schuchert Award for outstanding paleontologist under 40, the Shea Award for writing in geoscience, and the Gregory Award for service to vertebrate paleontology.
