Ahmad Kamal Janjua

Ahmad is a senior management professional with more than 20 years of international experience of various industries and cross functional knowledge from different continents. He is a space enthusiast, an amateur astronomer; and also member of SETI, Amateur Astronomers associations of New York and St Louis USA. His passion to learn and understand about the universe led him to launch a space technology company and he plans to boost the space industry in Pakistan and inspire the future generations with new technology systems and solutions to improve life on Earth and optimal interstellar travel. His talk at TEDxInsituteOfSpaceTechnology would be about ideas and development relating to cosmic vision and we can't wait enough to hear him out.

Ayesha Chundrigar

Animal rights activist

Ayesha Chundrigar is widely known as the founder of ACF (Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation) in Karachi, most popularly known for initiating the concept of animal welfare in Pakistan. ACF Animal Rescue was established 6 years ago and created the first ever shelter and rescue service for injured and abused dogs and cats that live on the streets and working animals like donkeys and mules. ACF animal Rescue has rescued over 5000 animals so far with a limited budget and faced many obstacles in their path but they’ve still persevered through it all. She founded ACF when she was 25 years old. Before that, she worked as a Journalist and Producer in UK for documentaries based in the UK and on her return, for films locally and internationally as well. Also, as a Therapist, she has worked pro bono with acid burn survivors, people with special needs, children in drug rehabilitation facilities and orphans.

Marvia Malik

Marvia is an inspiring person, who overcame all the obstacles in her path and diligently pursued her passion to become Pakistan’s first transgender anchor person. She is also recognized for her unceasing efforts in advocating the rights of transgenders on a legislative level nationwide while serving as the president of the non-governmental Khawaja Sira Society which works to bring awareness to the transgender community about health risks arising from drug use and unsafe sexual practices. Despite her success, she is determined to grow even further, planning to pursue postgraduate studies to further her learning and that which she imparts to others. In a state where transgenders still receive limited rights and are subject to severe social stigmas, she has shone as a symbol of determination, a beacon of hope for the marginalized communities in our society as living, breathing proof of braving odds and stigma to reach your goals.

Mir Mohammad Alikhan

Investment banker, entrepreneur and capital market advisor

Mir Mohammad Ali Khan, also known by the name Mir MAK, is a world-renowned investment banker, a pioneer in the field of Islamic banking in particular. He took the limelight in the industry by, at age 29, becoming the founder and chairman of a full scale investment bank in the United States, also claiming the honor of being the first Muslim to head an investment bank on Wall Street. He has also served, with distinction, as an authority on finance in both Pakistan and the US, underlining his great influence and adaptability. In particular, his stints as the Federal Advisor to the Pakistan government, and a similar role to the state of New Jersey exemplify his prowess in his field. It is due in no small part to his efforts that a purely Islamic banking benchmark index was adopted by Wall Street. Mir MAK has, over several years, showcased his resilience, steadfastness in the face of troubles and controversy and passion to go for the unconventional and out of the box approaches

omar masood Qureshi

CEO Automotive design Crashworthy Research

Dr. Omer Masood Qureshi is a Mechanical Engineer by profession and has a keen interest in the Automotive designs. He has done his PhD in Automotive designs from University of Modena E Reggio Emilia, Italy. . Among his many other talents, he's a song writer and a compose, affiliated with his band Sarkash. He's also a painter and an artist possessing a unique and diverse personality. He's currently the CEO of Automotive Design and Crash Worthiness that works on road safety, vehicle testing and crash investigations. ADCR is one of its kind in Pakistan and it has worked on a couple of national level projects in partnership with Ministry of Communications, NHA and Motorway Police. It's Crash Investigation Wing has been involve in a number of federal investigations including the Khairpur accident. It investigates accidents technically in a meticulous manner, in order to provide a Failure analysis and actualities of the incident so that, it may be avoided in the future.
