These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Her daughter has since trekked to a mountain top in Bhutan, played with Alpacas in New Zealand, fed wild pigs and chickens and camped under an open sky in Nagaland, sailed on the Baltic sea, danced in Goan carnivals and eaten local food in all of 13 countries.

Mrs.Gayatri Rattan (nee Rao), 57+ years old, a Commerce Graduate from University of Mumbai. An average student, never serious about studies, even as a child. Born in Mysore, brought up in Mumbai. I am physically handicapped, being a Right Above Elbow Amputee since May 11,1984 . This was due to a road accident she relocated with parents to Mysore in 1986 and joined Dena Bank as clerk in 1989. Moved back to Mumbai after marriage, in 1990 and have been there since. She is currently a Chief Manager with erstwhile Dena Bank (now Bank of Baroda) heading their Centralized Pension Processing Centre based in Mumbai. That is the Branch which creates, maintains, updates pension accounts & pays or recovers pensions our CPPC deals mainly with Central Government pensions.

Manvendra Singh Gohil

First openly gay prince of the world and runs a NGO called "Lakshya" for people from the LGBT community

Manvendra Singh Gohil is an Indian prince who is the son and probable heir of the Maharaja of Rajpipla in Gujarat. He is claimed to be the first openly gay prince in the world . He runs a charity, The Lakshya Trust, which works with the LGBT community. He appeared as a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show on 24 October 2007. He was one of three persons featured in the show titled 'Gay Around the World'. He was born in Ajmer, the only son of Maharana Shri Raghubir Singhji Rajendrasinghji Sahib, Maharana of Rajpipla, and Maharani Rukmini Devi. Manvendra's mother was born as a princess of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.In 1971, the government of India "de-recognized" the Indian princes, and Manvendra's father consequently lost the official title of Maharaja and the privy purse(an annual pension) that came with it.

But with sheer determination, he propelled myself and today, he is a Fitness Influencer, Marathon Runner and a human book at human library, Indore. With all this his story was also featured by Reebok under the contest "Fit to Fight".
