We're excited to invite you to our upcoming salon themed: The Psychology of #socialmedia

Here's what it's about:
When something is as prevalent in our lives as social media, it warrants a re-think! Or at least, a deeper thinking about the incentives with which these apps are created, the impact they have on our day-to-day lives, and how we consciously want to move forward.

Together, let's enjoy an evening of TED talks, live speakers, stimulating discussions along with performances.

Jad Naamani

Digital Marketing
With 10 years of experience in the digital marketing sector, Jad Naamani (BBA, MSc) has always been passionate about pursuing the latest trends in social media and online advertising, working closely with Facebook and Google to implement campaigns throughout his career. After a long span as a digital marketeer in the start-up space, Jad co-founded Curly Brackets in 2014, a digital agency that is currently a rising star in the industry in Lebanon. With a strong understanding of the underlying mechanism that fuel today’s most popular social media and digital platforms, Jad and Curly Brackets take a different approach by focusing on developing a full digital presence for those they work with.

Samah Karaki

Neuroscientist
Samah Karaki is a neuroscientist, author, and speaker in the domains of Social and Educational Neuroscience. She completed her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2011 and worked as a research fellow at University Pierre et Marie Curie while teaching at Descartes University in the Department of Psychology in Paris. Since 2014, she co-founded The Social Brain Institute, a Geneva based Initiative striving to translate emerging knowledge of the brain into strategies to solve social and organizational challenges and expose the disconnect between research-backed practices and current ones. She provided trainings, conferences and Brain Based consultancy in multiple environments in subjects spanning the range from Creativity, Behavioral Change related to gender bias and Ecocitizenship to Brain Based Learning and socio-emotional skills.
