In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Akis Palamidis

Akis Palamidis is co-founder and CMO of the FoodTech company Gastronaut Catering, which was awarded “FoodTech Company of the Year 2017” in Sweden, and nominated “Trailblazer of the Year 2018" by White Guide side by side the four-Michelin-star chef Mathias Dahlgren and with two other award-winning restaurants. Akis started his career as a creative copywriter at the advertising agency McCann Erickson in Athens, while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Communication & Advertising at the American College of Greece. He continued his studies in Boston, where he worked and received an M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication from Emerson College and later an M.Sc. in Finance from the graduate school of ACG in Athens. He moved to Stockholm, Sweden in 2010 where he worked as a Strategy Director in advertising before co-founding Gastronaut Catering

Alexandra Polymenakou

Persistence, strategy, consistency. These are three of Alexandra Polymenakou's basic virtues, who guides and promotes a strong team of ascending as well as acknowledged Greek designers, through AP SHOWROOM. She has always loved and kept track of art and fashion, dreaming of creating her own space that would combine both of them. Her considerable experience as a sales manager, buyer and merchandiser, intensified the need to create a living space, in which collections of Greek designers with a strong vision and perspective are hosted.

Chloé Kritharas Devienne

Chloé Kritharas Devienne was born in Paris in 1988. In 2006, she attended the University of Fine Arts, Paris, and a few years later she completed her photography studies in Leica Academy, Athens. She has worked both with French and Greek media. Through the years, she has covered various social issues, Greek traditional feast, and she has exhibited parts of her projects, both in Greece and France.

Dimitris Damigos

Dimitris Damigos was born in 1957, in Peiraeus, where he was also brought up. He studied Psychology and specialized in Clinical Psychology at the University of Lyon. He got his Master's degree in Medical Psychology from the same university, and was trained in Systemic Psychotherapy. Today he works at the Medical School of the University of Ioannina as an Assistant Professor for Medical Psychology. He is the scientist responsible for the Medical Psychology Lab of the Psychiatric Clinic, and since 2004 has been the scientist responsible of the Master's Programme “Dealing with pain”. His scientific and clinical work is affiliated with the areas of Social Psychiatry, Psychology of Health, of Psychosomatic, of Psychonephrology and of Psycho-oncology.

Dimitris Faitas

Dimitris Faitas is an entrepreneur in the field of e-commerce and new technologies. He was born and raised in Corfu; he studied at the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and continued his studies in Management at the Hellenic Management Association. In 2003, he created Corfuland.gr, the most popular site in Corfu. In 2011, he founded the company Epipla.com - Professional Furniture, which changed the way of equipping hotels and catering companies in Greece, Cyprus and all over Europe. In 2018, along with three other entrepreneurs, he founded Filox - Booking Online, a complete professional web solution and online booking system.

Evgenia Thanou

Evgenia Thanou has been the Managing Director of Médecins du Monde Greece since 2008. Aside her studies in the areas of business administration and “NGO communication”, Thanou has amassed more than 15 years of experience in the field of humanitarian programs and NGOs, seeing as, before she assumed the role of Managing Director of Médecins du Monde Greece, she held different positions in the same organization. In 2012 she was recognized with an award by the Hellenic Association of Business Management for her excellent work in Corporate Social Responsibility. She has extensive specialized experience in the implementation of actions and programs in the area of humanitarian help and medical care of NGO projects. Her role in managing the organization, in managing its human resources and in the staffing of teams with national or international missions is extremely important. She's responsible for the coordination of all Social Pharmacies, the guesthouses, which operate as shelters, and other programs of the organization.

Georgios Cherouvim

Georgios Cherouvim is a digital artist, animation director and CG supervisor for Visual Effects. He was born and raised in Athens and he is currently based in New York. His work and animation shorts have been screened in festivals around the world. He held his solo show 'Monomorphia' in Athens and has participated in several group art exhibitions. He graduated from the National Center for Computer animation of the United Kingdom. Over the years he has worked for feature films including Superman, Harry Potter and X-Men, commercials for clients including Dell, HewlettPackard, AT&T and Microsoft, as well as Virtual Reality experiences for The NY Times, Game of Thrones, Samsung and Qualcomm. In 2016 he moved to New York and worked at Framestore for four years, but recently went freelance and started his own studio.

Roula Rouva

Her first acquaintance with business happened at a relatively young age, when she took over family businesses. In 2003 she founded her own company, Roula Rouva Real Estate Agency, which is now part of Roula Rouva Group of Companies. Today, after having been distinguished and awarded five times – in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 respectively – by the European Property Awards for her real estate agency Roula Rouva Real Estate Agency, which is based in Corfu, and after having been distinguished by Who’s Who Publications as a “Leading Woman in Business”, Roula Rouva has reached the top in the business world. Furthermore she is the President of the Greek Association of Broker Price Opinion Certified Professionals and member of both National Association of Realtors (NAR) and European Association of Real Estate Professions (CEPI). Yassonas MEGOULAS (CACAO ROCKS)

A graffiti competition organized by Greenpeace in Corfu gave him the opportunity to discover his talent. Apart from his characteristic visual interventions in the streets of Athens, from painting walls and leaving sculptures in central locations of the city, the artist Cacao Rocks is particularly interesting, since he is not just a mainstream artist. It wasn’t by chance him being called a “Graffiti Guru” by National Geographic Traveler.
