Aria Minu-Sepehr
Director of Team Oregon
Aria Minu-Sepehr is the director of Team Oregon Motorcycle Safety Program at Oregon State University. He oversees Oregon’s mandatory motorcycle training through an educational program that reaches 10,000 students every year. Aria’s own motorcycling career began when he was five years old, in Iran, under the tutelage of his fighter-pilot father. His memoir, We Heard the Heavens Then, chronicles his youth, meshing cultural change and politics and a family caught in the crosshairs of a revolution. Of course, there is a healthy dose of speeding cars and motorcycles too!
Ella Morton
Student
Ella Morton is a freshman at Corvallis High School where she started the young Democratic Socialists of America Club. She was born in Berkeley, California, and moved to Oregon at nine months old. She is passionate about science and music and went to the All-State Orchestra for cello this year. She also spoke at the 2019 Corvallis women’s march and rally. She enjoys reading novels and listening to music. Her mother is an archivist at the university library, and her father is a therapist. Ella hopes to one day become an astrophysicist.
Juliah Lyon
Student From Brazil
Juliah Lyon was born in Corvallis Oregon on May 28th, 2004. She and her family lived in Corvallis for the first 5 and a half years of her life. In December of 2009, her family moved to São Paulo, Brazil. They lived here until June of 2010 when they then moved to Foz Du Iguacu. Juliah attended her first year of primary school here until they moved to Corumba, Brazil in August of 2011. She attended school here at a private elementary school for 3rd grade and part of fourth (grade systems worked differently in Brazil). In April of 2012 Juliah and her family moved to Rio De Janeiro where they lived until April of 2014. She and her family then moved back to Corvallis Oregon where Juliah attended the last couple of months of her 4th grade at Albany Christian School. In 2015 Juliah attended her final year of elementary school at Mt. View. For middle school, Juliah attended Cheldelin where she then moved on to Crescent Valley High School.
Manju Bangalore
CVHS Alum. NASA and Obama White House Intern.
Manju is a physics graduate from the University of Oregon. She has a passion for scientific literacy and space exploration. She has worked at two NASA centers, as well as in the White House under the Obama Administration. In 2015, she founded Operation Period, a youth-led nonprofit that hopes to create a world where menstruation holds no one back. In 2017, she placed as a semifinalist in Miss Oregon USA and in 2018, she placed top ten at Miss World America. Although she loves science, she also finds comfort in the joys of acting, playing the piano, and dancing. She aspires to become an astronaut and help to shape a scientifically literate population.
Robbie Allen
Scientist
Robbie is a member of a family that includes Melissa, Eli, Avery, Cella, and Livvie D. The Corvallis life has brought him in view of incredible musicals and plays, great schools, amazing soccer, pristine landscapes, and the best people you could hope to know. He trained as a microbiologist and works in biotech on the discovery and development of anti-cancer therapeutics, dividing his time between San Diego, Glasgow, and Corvallis.
Roger Esnard

A Bronx native who recently retired after spending 30 years at a fortune 100 company. A highly motivated,
creative leader with an expansive record of driving the most important innovation initiatives. Using his deep
understanding of all facets of Retail, Product Development and Human Resources he has implemented strategy,
and improved the bottom-line. Roger led Technology initiatives across the enterprise to foster change in an
omnichannel environment. He also possesses the technical skills to create solutions here none existed.
Over the past year, Roger co-founded R+D Initiatives, LLC providing Human Resources support services and
specializing in organizational visualization. He continues to live in the Bronx with his wife, younger son and their
dog.
Student Activist
Simone Moulton is currently studying as a freshman at Crescent Valley High School. Over the years, she has traveled to 14 countries around the world and has had the opportunity to meet people from uniquely diverse backgrounds, experiences, and passions. These interactions have inspired and taught her to always try to keep perspective. She is deeply interested in philosophy, aerospace technology, cosmology, world politics, and activism. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, hiking, playing music on trumpet or piano (and occasionally both simultaneously), and is working towards her private pilot’s license. She is the Corvallis chapter leader for SeeTheVoices, an online platform “Driven by Teens, Bringing Diverse Perspectives Together” (seethevoices.org). Simone hopes to help others explore new mindsets to improve their everyday life and the lives of their friend, families, and even strangers.
