It is with this idea in mind that we bring TEDx to SCBMCH. To put on our thinking caps, and let our minds fly over the landscape of everyday life, to a world of innovation with a purpose. With the theme of "Resonating Ripples", we aim to let our audience witness the change-makers recounting their tales of persistence, perseverance, and ultimately excellence.

Thinker, Writer, Public policy Expert

Charudutta Panigrahi, is a dynamic Indian thinker. An author, poet, public policy expert. He is best known for his work in public resources management and leadership.

ILEANA CITARISTI

Dancer

Born in the renaissance hub Italy, her love for the ancient art form Odissi drew her to the land of Sun Temple, Odisha. Having received her training from the legendary Kelucharan Mohapatra, Padma Shri Ileana Citaristi won the 'Best Choreographer' title for "Yugantar" in 1996. Her other major works have been "A Tale of three Cities"and "Abar Aranya". She has also authored three books dedicated to Odissi and her Guru.

MOHOMMED ALI SHAH

Theatre personality

Major Mohommed Ali Shah is a well-known Theatre personality, a defense analyst and a popular motivational speaker. He is the winner of the coveted award of "Best Actor" at the prestigious Delhi international festival along with many such accolades to his name.

NISHAAD Band

Music Band

"Nishaad is the definitive name of 'Ni' in Indian classic music. But for Nishaad, the band, 'nishaad' means the one who has no sorrows" A classical rock band, which also also performs other genres like fusion rock, and Sufi. Consisting of Bibhash, Anil, Rajendra, Siddharth, Bidya, Asutosh,and Rahul, this band of SCB Medical College students, was the first band in the illustrious history of the college.

RAKESH TIWARI

Story-teller

He's a renowned poet, script-writer, storyteller and an author. Performing on-stage poetry and storytelling has been his passion and profession since the last 5 years. He's Mr. Rakesh Tiwari, a proud "Kavi" of more than 50 Stories and Poems, also entitled as the "Best Poet of the Year" at Navi Mumbai MAP Festival and a numerous other literary titles and achievements to his name.

SHROUD OF HOPE Band

Music Band

The "Shroud of Hope" is a classic blues rock band with influences from the rock scene of the 80s and 90s. This team of Anurag, Alok, Ashish, Dameshwa, Pradeep treat music not only as a performing art but as a holistic medium of ushering change. Winner of inter band competitions at Dot.Fest 2018 and Horizon, IGIT Sarang, this band has also composed one of the most liked fan anthem of ISL side "Odisha FC".

SRUTI MOHAPATRA

Inclusive Policy maker

Having cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in her early 20s, the tables turned and ruined her beautifully laid-out career at the flick of an eye when she met an accident. With her spinal cord severely injured, which rendered her quadriplegic, she chose not to yield to her fate. She's been the crusader of Disability Rights. She's also the Founder and CEO of Swabhiman (NGO) and Anjali (an all inclusion festival), the names empowering disabled people.

SUBROTO BAGCHI

Entrepreneur, Business leader

A Man with a Mission who charges a salary of just Rs. 1 per year. His charter is to create employable skills for 1.5 million youth by 2024! Mr. Subroto Bagchi, popularly known as one of the Co-founders of Mindtree Solutions, is also a well known entrepreneur, internationally best-selling author and the Chairman of OSDA (Odisha Skill Development Authority).

An IT Engineer turned Grand Master and a FIDE Trainer, Swayams Mishra is the winner of several honour- Team India Gold and individual Bronze at the World Youth Olympiad 207, Blitz Asian Junior Champion 2012, U-20 Commonwealth Silver 2012, and he's also been a part of the official Android App World Chess Championship 2013, 2014.
