TEDxAlAbdali is an independantly organized TED event, which aims to bring to its' stage ideas worth spreading from all over Jordan. TEDxAlAbdali talks will encapsulate ideas around our theme "Transform", exposing concepts, ideas, and achievments that will motivate, inspire, and introduce transformative topics to our audience.

TEDxAlAbdali attracts a diverse array of passionate speakers, performers, demos and audience members. Together, we are construct a community.

Our community spread further than just attending events! We strive to stay connected, create traction, and be real agents of change outside our events as well.

Beat-box Champion

The founder of the Jordan Beat-Box Championship since 10 years ago, and he created the first evet championship in Jordan for Beat-Box and was able to combine multiple talents on one stage. He performed shows in many theaters of Amman and some shows in Thailand and Ireland.

Adam Bataineh

Medical Doctor

Adam is a medical doctor specializing in internal medicine and genomics. He is the co-founder and chief medical officer of Span Health, which uses digital therapy to treat chronic conditions such as diabetes. He has helped hundreds of patients in the United kingdom reverse their diabetes using nutrition and lifestyle changes

GM & Eureka Tech Academy

Afnan Ali - Founder and Executive Director of Eureka Academy for Technology Education, which is a leading academy in technology education and Engineering and children, which aims to establish an innovative Arab generation capable of producing and manufacturing technology in the future. Electrical engineer She has a diploma in social entrepreneurship - Sweden Afnan has received more than ten local and regional awards in the field of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship, the most recent of which was honored by The International Monetary Fund at its international conference Marrakech, as it was honored by the MBC channel as a pioneer and founder of one of the ten best Projects in the Arab world in the field of social change

I work to improve access to good education for deaf people and refugees, I have experience of digital innovation as Augmented reality and the Internet of things, artificial intelligence, mobile apps, web platform. I have worked in community development for more than three years from setting up initiatives to empower young people and refugees and empower women, The best sustainable initiative is IBTKR GO.

Farah Ghanma

I've always been searching for what really makes me content... the thing that absolutely fulfills my soul! And on my quest, I was first introduced to the field of STEM, which led me to decide to pursue my career in the field of computer science and software engineering. And at the end of that same year, I began my Rugby journey with the first ever female rugby team here in Jordan. On both journeys, I got the chance to meet resilient and passionate females that utterly contribute to who I am today. This is when I realized that a little bit of both words, makes me whole!

Jamil Asfour

Head of Technology Investments, Abu Dhabi Investment Office

Jamil is an international business and investment professional with 20 years experience in technology and innovation. He currently serves as the Head of Investments at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), focusing on bringing disruptive technologies to Abu Dhabi. Prior to this he held strategic roles at Fortune 500 companies including Apple, IBM, HPE and EY in the US, China and the Middle East. Jamil specializes in identifying the drivers of innovation, organizational integration and growth pre and post M&A deals, as well as creating sustainable global partnerships. He has deep expertise in computing, privacy and security and is currently focused on strategic technologies aligned with ADIO's vision including AI, IoT, Mobility and Robotics. Jamil holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, a Diploma in Management and Leadership from MIT and a Master’s Degree of Business Administration from The University of Oxford.

Manar Al-Dina

Nancy Al Raqqad

Consultant Ophthalmologist

Consultant ophthalmic cornea & refractive surgeon at the Royal Medical Services. Studied medicine and surgery at Jordan University. In 2007 awarded the Jordanian Board in ophthalmology and became a fellow of the Royal college of physicians and surgeons of Glasgow FRCS in UK. In 2009 went to the UK to train in cornea subspecialty fellowship at Sussex Eye Hospital and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital TILL 2011. Diploma in European leadership program EULdp in 2017 from Spain. Member of the Jordanian ophthalmological society, European ophthalmological society and the American Academy of ophthalmology. An officer at the Directorate of Professional training at the Royal Medical services. A member and lead for Women in Ophthalmology Arabia group (WIO Arabia). Has many publications in ophthalmology and introduced innovative ophthalmic procedures to ophthalmology in Jordan. Awarded the order of military merit by his majesty King Abdullah II for contributions to ophthalmology in Jordan.
