Jim Lemoine

Jim Lemoine is an assistant professor of organizations and human resources in the School of Management at University at Buffalo, and a researcher and facilitator with the school’s Center for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness. His research focuses on the intersections of organizational leadership and morality, and he has written for such outlets as the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Annals of the Academy of Management. His research has also been covered by most major business publications, including Forbes, Fast Company, Inc., Entrepreneur, and many others. He has earned several awards for his leadership research from the Academy of Management, the International Leadership Association, and the Southern Management Association. Beyond his research and teaching, he serves as a trustee of the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, a regular volunteer at Buffalo’s Friends of Night People and a frequent player of pinball.

Jonathan Chen

Jonathan Chen is a physician-scientist with professional software development experience and graduate training in computer science. He continues to practice Internal Medicine for the concrete rewards of caring for real people and to inspire his research focused on mining clinical data sources to inform medical decision making. He completed medical training in Internal Medicine and a VA Research Fellowship in Medical Informatics. He has published influential work in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA Internal Medicine, Bioinformatics, Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, and the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, with research awards and recognition from the NIH Big Data 2 Knowledge initiative, National Library of Medicine, American Medical Informatics Association, Yearbook of Medical Informatics, and American College of Physicians, among others.
Lisa Jane Jacobsen
Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University at Buffalo
Lisa Jane Jacobsen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an Associate Dean for Curriculum at the Jacobs School. Jacobsen received her medical degree, masters in public health, and completed her obstetrics/gynecology residency and pediatric and adolescent gynecology fellowship at the Tufts University School of Medicine. She holds a master’s degree in health professions education from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions. In her role as associate dean, she is involved in shaping the medical curriculum: revising course content, assisting course directors and faculty, and overseeing the development of a new medical curriculum. Her finest accomplishment, however, maybe that she is an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor and has been teaching fitness classes for almost 20 years!
Peter Winkelstein

Dr. Winkelstein’s first Master’s degree was in Astronomy, after which he applied his computer and analytic skills to the financial industry as a “quant,” programming computer models to trade commodities. Finding this life less than fulfilling, he turned to medicine in order to get away from computers. It didn’t work. He now has over 20 years of experience in medical Informatics in a variety of settings. He currently serves as VP and CMIO of Kaleida Health, the largest healthcare provider in Western New York is immediate past president of the Kaleida Health Medical/Dental Staff and is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University at Buffalo.
Seth Dobrin

Seth Dobrin is the Chief Data Officer IBM Cloud and Cognitive Software. He is responsible for the transformation of the Cloud and Cognitive Software business operations using data and AI. Previously, he led the data science transformation of a Fortune 300 company, as well as the company’s Agile transformation and their shift to the cloud, and oversaw efforts to leverage the data science transformation to drive new business models to create new revenue streams. He is a founding member of the International Society of Chief Data Officers, and has been a prolific panelist at the East and West Chief Data Officer Summits. Seth holds a PhD in genetics from Arizona State University, where he focused on the application of statistical and molecular genetics toward the elucidation of the causes of neuropsychiatric disorder.

Wassim has 28 years’ worth of industry experience and first joined GBM Kuwait in 2003 as an Account Manager. Since then, he has held a number of positions in GBM including Government Marketing Director.
Wassim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in electronic and communication engineering supported by a London Business School degree in Planning and Strategy. He is also a Baltimore-certified Security PKI Engineer, and has received an ITIL Basic Foundation Certification.
