India’s first professional female national racing champion - Alisha Abdullah, has made a mark for herself on the racetrack and is one of the most popular racers in the country. She became the first Indian woman to get a podium finish in the international motorsport competition – Toyota Vios Cup in the year 2014 in Thailand.She has also started a racing academy, Alisha Abdullah Academy for Women, to groom youngsters for the future.

Dr. Soumitra Pathare

Dr. Soumithra Pathare was a member of the Mental Health Policy Group appointed by the Government of India to draft India’s first National Mental Health Policy released in 2014 and also played a pivotal role in drafting the new Mental Health Care Act 2017, which takes a rights-based approach to mental health care and provides for publicly funded universal mental health care. He has served as a WHO consultant in many low and middle-income countries.
Dr. Pathare is currently involved in scaling up Atmiyata, a project to improve access to mental health services in rural areas.

He is one of the first Indian artists to have envisioned the collaboration of AI and arts and is the only one to have displayed his artwork at India’s first international AI art show in New Delhi recently.

Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, known as the ‘Moon Man of India’, is an Indian aerospace engineer whose career with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) spans a glorious 36 years. The former director of ISRO’s U R Rao Satellite Centre, Dr. Annadurai made the most crucial contribution to the realisation of India's first Lunar Mission, Chandrayaan-1. His other major contribution is the accomplishment of the successful Mars Orbiter Mission in record time. Dr. Annadurai’s vision paved a path for future Indian planetary missions and brought together international organisations like NASA, ESA, JAXA to work under the leadership of ISRO.

His work has been covered extensively by major media houses of the country on various occasions. Dr. Uddhab Bharali , popularly known as ‘The Machine Man’, is a grassroots innovator from Assam. An innovator par excellence, Dr. Bharali completed his 150th innovation on January 25,2019. Known for his ingenious contraptions, Uddhab Bharali’s motto is helping others and making daily mundane tasks easier. Most of his innovations are low cost, use locally available raw materials and help people from all walks of life, from farmers to the differently-abled.
Bharali currently runs UKB Agrotech in his hometown in Lakhimpur, a machine design and research centre.
Vartika Joshi
Lieutenant Commander
Lieutenant Commander, Vartika Joshi, sailed into history as the first Indian woman to lead an all women crew in a daring expedition to sail around the world with INSV Tarini, as a part of the country’s ‘Nari Shakti Mission’. Vartika joined the Indian Navy as a Naval Architect in 2010. It was her passion for the oceans that took her on several sea voyages including a transatlantic expedition from Rio de Janeiro to Cape Town in 2014.
She was awarded the Chief of Naval Staff Commendations in 2014 and 2016 for being the first woman officer to undergo a transatlantic voyage and successfully leading an all-female crew during their first ever independent open ocean voyage from Goa to Mauritius and back respectively.
