In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Benjamin Crosbie

Benjamin is a current high school junior who lives in Santiago, Chile. He enjoys playing basketball, is part of the Knowledge Bowl team, and writes for the school newspaper.

Bill Dent

Bill Dent is a system astronomer who resides in Santiago, Chile and has worked for ALMA for over ten years. Apart from this, he has worked at the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh and the James Clark Maxwell Telescope in Hawaii.

Dean Waters

Dean Waters is currently a sixteen-year-old sophomore living in Santiago, Chile. What sets him apart from almost everyone his age is that he doesn't own and hasn't owned a phone in his life.

Eun Bin Lee

Eun Bin is currently a High School senior attending Nido de Aguilas in Santiago, Chile. At only 18 years of age he has designed and sold a program for the Chilean government and organized Nido’s first Hack-a-thon. Eun Bin is also the CEO of Def Hacks and has his own startup.

Juan Vidal

Juan Vidal resides in Santiago, Chile, where he works as a Theatre Manager in the International School Nido de Aguilas. In addition, he loves the outdoors and loves to interact with many communities throughout Chile.

Justin Gibbs

Justin Gibbs is currently a Middle and High School music teacher in an international school in a Santiago, Chile. Apart from his music passion, Justin loves nature and does everything he can in order to help maintain it.

Matías Leiva

Matías Leiva reside en Santiago, Chile. En 2015 empezó vendiendo sandwiches en las calles para pagar sus deudas. Ahora, en 2019, vende más que dos mil unidades diariamente en su restaurante "La Insolencia."
