Currently, he works as a management consultant in the health industries advisory practice of one of the most reputed consulting firms globally. He has also been associated with the Hult prize – world’s biggest engine for the launch of for-good startups emerging from the universities – earlier as a campus director and later as a judge of Hult Prize On Campus. He has been a semi-professional wildlife photographer. He is also a certified rock climber, scuba diver, and paragliding pilot.

Dr K.M. Cherian

Cardiosurgeon.

Padmashri Dr. K. M. Cherian , chairman and CEO of international centre for Cardiothoracic and Vascular diseases( a unit of Frontier Lifeline and Dr. K. M. Cherian heart foundation) . He is the founder of various institutes including madras medical mission, Pondicherry institute of medical science. He has served as the honorary surgeon to the president of India. He is the first Indian whose name is engraved in one of the stones in Kos island, Greece, the birth place of medical professional, Hippocrates, the "father of medicine". He is the first to carry out a successful coronary artery graft in India in 1975 and to carry out the first internal mammary artery graft in the county in 1976. He heads the NGO V trust, popular for its 100 toilets initiative in a village in Gumidipondi where there were zero toilets. The trust has also initiated “own a book” at Thiruvalluvar district in 66 schools. Karun has been active in social work for more than 10 years and aims to bring socially important issues to limelight by using Radio as a medium.
