Ai Futaki

2011 Guinness World Records “The Longest Distance Swam in a Cave with One Breath” with Fins 100m: the First Woman in the world without Fins 90m: the Furthest Human in the world I am part of the water…, be ONE with the water. By using breath-hold diving as a tool to become the bridge between the underwater world and the human world. I share the harmony, beauty, and symbiosis with the water.

Akim & Yuzu

My work is about bridge making and myth breaking. I use the dance-theater form to explode barriers — between disciplines, cultures, races, “high” and “popular” art, eye and ear, creating borderless performance art that fuses sounds and movements from different genres and invokes a broad spectrum of cultural traditions and artistic disciplines. I’ve been fortunate in my mentors, including distinguished artists like Bill T. Jones, Bobby McFerrin, and Tea Master Ryotaro Matsumura. I’ve performed my own full-length dance-theater works in temples of high art (Kennedy Center, Whitney Museum, Lincoln Center, BAM), and avant-garde venues (LaMama, Dixon Place,PS122, Blue Note). I’ve taught in prisons, schools and monasteries, opened for Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder.

Daniel Harris Rosen

Daniel Harris Rosen is a bilingual creative director based in Tokyo, with over 25 years of experience in the Japanese art scene. Originally a visual artist himself, he is also a curator, VJ, film director, and art writer for The Japan Times & other esteemed media outlets. Daniel first formally studied art at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and went on to earn his MFA at Tama Art University in Tokyo. In 2006 while still a student, he joined the nascent artist collective Rinpa Eshidan which exploded into an Internet sensation, garnering over 120 million collective hits on YouTube. Through his time with Rinpa Eshidan, he gained experience handling commercial work from corporate clients such as KDDI, YouTube, MINI Cooper, McDonald's Japan, etc. Meanwhile, Daniel also pursued his own artistic career in contemporary art, exhibiting and selling his artwork worldwide at venues including the Honolulu Museum of Fine Art and Art Fair Taipei. In 2010, after earning his Ph.D. in fine arts from Tama Art University, he founded TokyoDex, a multifaceted creative agency that encompasses all of his artistic endeavors. Daniel’s creative vision, extensive network in the Japanese art community, understanding of the Japanese culture and international standards of business make him a highly sought creative director for exciting art-based projects in Tokyo and around the globe.

Haruko Nishida

Nishida san is President of Women Help Women served as a gateway for emergency support from female entrepreneurs in Korea and Japan, with that new initiative becoming an incubator for ideas.

Naotaka Fujii is a professor at Digital Hollywood, CEO of Hacosco Inc. VR company and previous Lab Head, laboratory for adaptive intelligence at RIKEN.

Peter David Pedersen

Co-founder, NELIS - Next Leaders' Initiative for Sustainability (a global network of young sustainability leaders from all six continents). Professor, Shizenkan University and Center Leader, Center for Sustainability and Innovation (Shizenkan University) Director, TACL - The Academy for Corporate Leadership. Co-founder, E-Square Inc. (sustainability consultancy). Born in Denmark, a resident of Japan for more than 29 years. Expert on corporate sustainability, sustainability leadership, sustainability and innovation, and organizational resilience, (the latter based on an original Triple-A concept (Anchoring+Adaptiveness+Alignment)).

Rene Duignan

Rene Duignan is an Irish economist who was a speaker at TEDxTokyo in 2013. He spoke as the writer/director of "Saving 10,000 - Winning a War on Suicide in Japan" a 52-minute documentary selected in the Japan Times "Top 10 Movies of 2013" and nominated for 15 film festival awards. "Saving 10,000" was screened at the Diet and became a part of the Japanese Government's 2013 suicide prevention campaign. This non-profit movie reached over 20 million Japanese citizens through extensive media coverage. It collected 600,000 YouTube views while 3,500 DVDs were distributed for community screenings.

Rio Saito

Rio a 19-years-old ukulele prodigy has shown great promise with his musical skills and abilities. Having performed at venues throughout Asia, U.S.A., Europe, and all around the world. He captured 1st place at Amateur Night at Apollo Theater in New York City, ukulele contests in Hawaii and received the Award of Excellence at the Diner's Club Social Jazz Session in 2013-14. He has also performed at TEDxYouth@Tokyo, Teachers, TohokuUniversity and TEDxTokyo 2014. He released his first full album in 2015, filled with “RIO Music” along with original songs and got nominated for the “39th Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards” in 2016 as an International Album of the Year category. In 2018 and 2020, RIO has joined the NAMM as a KAMAKA's endorsed artist.

Sandeep Casi

Sandeep started his career at General Motors in Detroit as Systems Engineer and was part of a pioneering team that developed Virtual Reality technologies for automotive design & automotive crash analysis. He then joined George Lucas’s Industrial Light+Magic (Division of Lucasfilm) as Manager of System group. After ILM, he was the chief architect for Sekani (acquired by Corbis Images). He then joined Fuji Xerox Palo Alto Lab (FXPAL) in Silicon Valley as Research Scientist. He was sent by FXPAL to Japan to work with Fuji Xerox and Fujifilm as an interface between research and business groups. At Fuji Xerox & Fuji film in Japan, he worked on finding the product-market fit for the commercialization of various research patents. He holds two patents in the area of Digital media, 5 Research awards from Fuji Xerox Palo Alto Lab, and an award for innovation from General Motors.

Shiho Fukuhara

She received her BA(Hons) 1st Class in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and MA(RCA) in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art in London. Shiho moved to Japan with Georg with an Atelier-Stipend by the Austrian Government in Fujino, Kanagawa, Japan. She was an artist in residence at IAMAS (Institute for the Advancement of Media Art and Science) in Gifu, Japan. In 2008, Georg and Shiho were selected as Artist in Residence during the ISEA2008 in Singapore, working in collaboration with the NUS (National University of Singapore) on the metaphysical and social interactions of the theme-complex Water. Shiho joined Hideo Iwasaki Lab for Molecular Cell Network and Biomedia Art, Waseda University as a visiting researcher in 2011. In 2014 Shiho joined George Church Lab, for Genetics at Harvard Medical School as Visiting Scientist. Her motivation is to give focal points to existing social issues with science, technology, and communication through creating alternative conceptual models, strategies, and approaches. Shiho has formed the BCL, an artistic research framework and open collaboration platform dedicated to exploring and critically investigating the interfaces and predetermined breaking points between Art, Science, Design, Technology, and Society.

Yuzu Natsumi

Yuzu is a Japanese singer/songwriter who comes from a small town in Japan. The style of music she signs is named ‘Urban Folk’ as it combines both urban and traditional elements, from the types of instruments, played to the subject matter of her songs. Yuzu has performed at legendary Blue Note NY, Sakura Matsuri at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, BAM cafe, and some other venues in New York City.
