Theme: Unstoppable.

A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed independently, but all of them have features in common. Tedx FCCollege has been happening since years and this time we believe it to spread ideas and stories worth sharing with our theme: Unstoppable.

Kamal ud Din

Professor

Kamal Ud Din is a remarkable man who as of now works in FCCU as a Chairperson and a Professor. He attended British Council Summer Schools at the University of Leeds in 1985and the University of Aberdeen in 1991. He received Fulbright Scholarship in 1994 where he studied and worked on an adaptive software technology course from the Adaptive Technology Center, the University of New Orleans as an independent researcher. His interests lie in American Literature and African-American Women’s Poetry. Mr. Kamal will be sharing his unstoppable journey from losing his sight a very young age and then achieving all these milestones by changing his disability to special ability.

Khursand Bayar Ali

Transgender Activist

Khurshad Bayar Ali (preferred to be referred as She/Her) has been working as a transgender activist from Lahore for the past 7 years and She is also the founder of non-profit and non-funded theater production company Nautankey Production that works for the trans rights, their issues, and advocacy. She played her part by being a translator of the draft from English to Urdu for the understanding of the community in the Transgender Act made by the Pakistan government in 2018. Apart from this, She has also worked with Global Funds and UN-based organizations to stop aids and HIV in Pakistan. Not only this but She has been a teacher, counselor, and assistant CCM member by the Global Funds for the key population in Pakistan. Khursand will be sharing her unstoppable journey of despite being rejected by the society and imposed by multiple restrictions, she did not let her spirits down and reached where she is now.

Muhammad Hamza Ihtisham

Neuroscientist

Hamza Ehtishamisan Electrical engineer with expertise in Neuroscience as well as a Microsoft certified expert from IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and EMBS(Engineering in Medical and Biological Society). He loves to work with Humanitarian technologies and play with the signals of the brain. Not only this, but Hamza is also a Member of different international organizations and is a holder of 3 international awards. Some of his awards include IAS Myron Zucker Design Project Award, Honorary Mention Project Competition IEEE ComSoc, IEEE global Brand Ambassador, and Travel Grant Award to the USA. Hamza will be sharing his unstoppable journey of rehabilitating people suffering from different brain and neurodevelopmental disorders through his exceptional work and play with signals of the brain.

Muhammad Rohayl Varind

Social Entrepreneur, Educationist & Innovator.

Mohammad Rohayl Varind is the Founder of Pakistan’s first Labour School and Slum School which is Pakistan’s first solar night school. At the age of 23, he has managed to accomplish great things. He’s the creator of Pakistan's first solar bags and was featured in top 5 educationists list by ARY News in 2018. He was the winner of World Summit Youth Award 2014-2015, he was also featured in Commonwealth Young Achievers Book 2015-16. Apart from being the Founder & President of Wall of Humanity, he was one of the first Pakistani to receive an award in Brazil. Rohayl have been featured by BBC World, BBC Future, World Economic Forum, BBC News Urdu, BBC News Hindi, National Geographic, BBC News Punjabi, Gulf News, TRT World, Quartz, VOA Urdu, ARY News, GEO News, Express News, Daily Pakistan, Jang Newspaper, Dunya News, Brilio, QQ.com. Mussarat Misbah

Entrepreneur/Cosmetologist/Social Activist

Masarrat Misbah has a dynamic persona with multiple talents and needs no introduction. She is a distinguished entrepreneur, cosmetologist,and philanthropist. Musarrats' commitment to her dreams of opening her own salon and having her own cosmetics’ brand, her innovative thinking process enabled her to start a salon service at her apartment. In 1980 she established a beauty salon named Depilex. She was one of the few self-made females at that time who rose above all odds, defying the norms and created an ideal life. In 2005 Misbah took a courageous step and laid foundations of NGO ``DepilexSmile Again``. She is the first female to be recognized and awarded by Italian Government on Women's Day for her diligent work. Today she runs 42 franchises across Pakistan. In April 2010 she was also honored with the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance. Ms.Musarat Misbah will be sharing her unstoppable journey of how she came up with the idea and taught the acid attack victims to smile again.
