The Central Bank of Ecuador (BCE) becomes the first public institution in Ecuador to ever host a TEDx event. Guided by the leadership of Ec. Veronica Artola, General Governor, the BCE once again is at the forefront of innovation and public empowerment by setting up the first TEDxBCE. Promising to be a mind blowing experience where fantastic and outstanding ideas will spread, and where the audience will get the chance to see economics and finances in a way that will change their mindset forever. Seven powerful speakers; that were very carfeully selected, will plunge the audience in the astonishing world of equitable distribution, empowerment, comedy, neurofinances, dollarization, innovative marketing and gender public policy. TEDxBCE will be striking, disruptive and memorable.

He is a simple family man, passionate about science and technology. His time in life has led him to study things that are apparently contradictory, but can be combined when doing daily tasks, like in his job. His professional experience goes from banking to education, His years of experience as an economist gives him a more social perspective but his studies as a physicist and a mathematician makes him see life from the accuracy and rigor that these disciplines demand. His family is his mainstay to overcome any obstacle that he may address.

Esteban Jaramillo

Scriptwriter and comedian

Esteban Jaramillo (1981), graduated from the School of Literature of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and has a postgraduate degree in humor script for entertainment and humor programs awarded by the PompeuFabra of Barcelona, Spain.He has worked as a scriptwriter for radio, television, film and digital platforms. Since 2012, he has assisted in numerous web projects such as EnchufeTv, Piloto Automatico, La Avena Cómica and La Foca.He has acted in plays like Olimpópera, a la diestra del padre, Hola soy tu pene and Gordo & Gorda He is one of the pioneers of the stand-up in Quito, a genre he practices with successes and mistakes since 2007. He has performed in several cities in Ecuador such as Quito, Cuenca, Loja, Guayaquil, Ambato, Riobamba, Ibarra, Manta, Puyo, Latacunga, Puerto Ayora, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and in Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Bolivia. Currently, he organizes the nights of open-mic of the Beerman of Quito, where the new movement of local stand-up takes place.

Professor at Andina Simón Bolívar University in the Master in Finance,Financial Risk and Fixed Income and International Finance. Scholar and consultant of the National Polytechnic School in economic-financial matters. Evaluator of the Council of Higher Education.Author of Model of Coverage Exchange of Gardner and Wuilloud applied to Mexico. Sponsored by the United Nations he gave technical assistance to El Salvador in structuring its liquidity fund.

Colombian woman, born in the city of Bogotá. Second daughter of a home made up of father mother and two sisters. Wife of an Ecuadorian citizen and mother of a one-year-old child. Studied at the National University of Colombia in Social Work, specialist in Public Policy Analysis, Master in Government and Public Administration and Candidate for a PhD in Political Science and Administration, and International Relations. With a professional performance for over 13 years in public sector entities, which lead the design, implementation and evaluation of social public policies. Currently a social worker of Management of Welfare, Safety and Occupational Health of the Central Bank of Ecuador. Committed to the social transformations that promote the guarantee of rights of men and women.

Columnist of the magazine MDC TheEventPlanner’s Mexico,Magazine Numbers Ecuador and Flumarketing Chile. Founder of Sprocket Marketing a consultancy specialized in strategic marketing,perspectives and consumer behavior; Emotionshare Corp a consultancy that applies the Emotionshare methodology; the academic movement encounters of cultural marketing meetings and founder of Marketing Snacks. Professor at the ISMAC Institute and Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador where he was director of the Marketing major. Paola Sanchez

Economist with focus on Managerial Leadership and Organizational Well-Being

She is an economist from Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. She completed postgraduate courses with an academic approach in Michigan State, United States and Paris, France. Since the year 2000 she has enrolled in jobs of economic consultancy in institutions such as Inter-American Development Bank (BID), Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and The United Nations Development Program (UNDP). As an economist she has supported institutional strengthening in public Ecuadorian institutions such as IESS, CONAM and the Ministry of Sports. She’s an Official of the Central Bank of Ecuador since 2017 where she is Director of Management Change and Organizational Culture. She has learned to understand economy from its most orthodox side to its most flexible side. Firm believer that learning new ways of work methods allows a personal and social fulfillment. Currently studying a master`s degree in organizational development and management leadership at the University of Barcelona, Spain.
