In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Franz has been living in India since 2007 and since 2009 he has been living in a tribal village in Ormanjhi, Jharkhand. Yuwa, an organization that uses girls’ football to combat child marriage, illiteracy and human trafficking in the rural regions of Jharkhand. It provides a platform for young women to make a change in their world. Jasti Chelameswar was a judge of the Supreme Court of India. He retired on 22 June 2018 as the second most senior Supreme Court judge. Earlier, he was the Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala and Gauhati High Court. He was also one of the 4 judges who held a controversial press conference against the Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra.

Currently, Vimal Geethanandan is one of the Co-Founders of MadTales, a mobile beverage truck, currently parked near Global Village IT Park's back gate in Bengaluru. They are fighting malnutrition by donating Rs 9 from every cold pressed juice they sell. Vimal Geethanandan is well known as Inspiring Wanderer across South India. He travelled without a penny in his pocket across 11 states of the country. He found his inspiration and is a man with great human values.
