For this TEDxCalgary Salon we're thinking about what jobs, and the economy, might look like in the future. We've heard it before: "this new technology means humans are all heading towards unemployment." But with machines now starting to learn and adapt, could this time be different?
Are we finally heading toward a future without jobs? Are we creating AI systems that will soon unravel our current economy? What should we do about it? What will jobs look like in the future? Is it time to separate income from traditional work models?
Join us for a TED-Talk (followed by group conversations) about how one futurist sees the potential for a future without traditional jobs, and what solutions we should consider to be able to continue to earn money!

Parking at Crowfoot Library:
The Crowfoot Library is the most popular NW branch, and parking in their lot is often scarce. Plenty of overflow parking is available in the High School Parking Lots to the west, after 5pm. As well, bus routes #113-eastbound and #76 connect the Crowfoot C-Train Station to the Library.
As always, registration for this event is also requested through the library, using this CPL link:

You must be a member of the library to use their registration system. Library membership is FREE. (And awesome.)
We look forward to seeing you there!
