Aleth Sabugo
Student
Aleth Sabugo is a sophomore in King Kekaulike High School. She is currently 14 years old and lives in the beautiful island of Maui. Wherever she goes, she always has her camera with her. She loves photography and is a follower of the arts. Aleth is also a member of key club and she loves to do community service with her key club family. Along with key club, she is also in STEM, HOSA, Fencing, StellarXplorers, and a member of Japanese club. At school, she is enrolled in AP World History, Intermediate Acting, Japanese Language 2, Honors Biology, Honors Algebra 2, and Honors Language Arts. Aleth takes pride in her school work and enjoys going to school. After high school, Aleth plans to go to UH Manoa where she will major in nursing. After college, she wants to work in Maui Memorial Hospital as an RN.
Kaden Gittens
Student
Kaden Gittens is 17 years old and was born in Maui, Hawaii. He is passionate about exploring and interacting with nature. Having lived on islands for the entirety of his life he feels particularly convicted of the change that these once hardly interrupted ecosystems have undergone in recent years. He intends to search of new ways for man to live symbiotically with nature as well as encourage others to do the same, for as long as he lives.
Nakoa Po
Student
Born on the island of Maui in 2000, the 2008 economic recession sent Po’s family to their country of origin, Israel. Po arrived in the country as hostilities between Israel and the coalition of Hamas and the Jihadi movement were escalating. With constant missile attacks near his home and terrorist operations within the country exposing him to severe adversity. In the bomb shelters and and basements of Jerusalem Po experienced his first taste of political conflict, and with this experience in mind set forward into an extensive theatre involvement upon his return to Maui, as well as a pursuit of Law. He attended programs at Stanford University among others in order to improve his public speaking skills and legal expertise. These activities build towards Po’s ultimate goal, entrance into the political sphere, and the chance to use his knowledge to avert such disasters as he experienced.
Nathan Vang
Computer Science Innovations/ Student
Ever since he was 12, Nathan Vang was always interested in technology. Especially computers and the unique power of computation. At a young age, Nathan actually built his first computer from parts. He's an advocate for innovation, and he enjoys being able to craft things into servicing a useful purpose. He also knows over 10 programming languages and has started projects with his knowledge of programming and technology. His projects have the same goal, which is to help others, like his current project “BlueMonkey”. From his years of experience, he's seen the various ways that computer science innovations could help his community. He does research in his free time, which enabled him to be proficient in cyber security and software development. Through his love of learning and passion in modern day computer science, Nathan is aspiring to attain a career in cyber security with the NSA.
Xiana Crenshaw
Private Pilot/ Student
King Kekaulike Senior Xiana Crenshaw is a Seventeen year old who is constantly on the move. Whether its driving from place to place or flying from island to island, Xiana is very enthusiastic about travel. In her free time she likes to stay active in the gym, film and create videos, and enjoys photography and as a new FAA certified pilot she enjoys flying small aircrafts. Xiana is also a member of the Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air Force Auxiliary, where citizens serve communities. In the winter months Xiana loves to travel out of the country to go snowboarding with her family. After High school she wants to attend a 4 year university outside of the Hawaiian islands and study Either Emergency management, Global Security, or aeronautics. Xiana Hopes to Earn the Air Force ROTC scholarship and become an Air Force pilot.
