Maria Sawiris
Project Management Consultant
Maria is a Project Management Consultant working at Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond (TBH). She studied Civil Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney, where she graduated in the year 2017 with 1st Class Honours. Maria spent almost all her life living in the Campbelltown area and she was a student of Ambarvale high School. Working in a male dominated industry has inspired Maria to start making some changes. Maria completed a thesis that explored the impact of workplace cultures on the behaviours and decisions of employees in order to gain an understanding of how the industry is shaped and how that in turn influences those working within it. She runs a few modules at UTS to assist students during their internships to gain a better understanding of the changes in their industry and how they can equip themselves to not only withstand these changes but also thrive as young professionals. Maria is also part of a team that has established the Women in Business Initiative.
Exercise Scientist
Mitchell Gibbs is PhD candidate in Exercise Science at Western Sydney University. His research is focused on chronic pain and strength training, as well as being involved in a men’s health research initiative with Canterbury Bulldogs. Mitchell is a practicing Accredited Exercise Scientist and a Strength and Conditioning Coach, which has given him the pleasure of working with elite national and international level athletes.
Nikita Booshand
High School Student
Nikita is a current Ambarvale High School student. She is a cheerleader for the NRL West Tigers and the Sydney Blue Sox baseball. She has a passion for improving the planet and helping people. In the future she aspires to become a doctor so that she can make a change. She is extremely interested in climate change and believe it is an issue that needs a serious focus.
Russel Garcia
Russel is an ex Ambarvale High School student who is studying Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Advanced Studies(Politics and International Relations).
Zach Churchill
Psychology Student, Honours
Zach Churchill is a current psychology (honours) student at the University of Wollongong. Although only 22 years of age, Zach has experience in many different domains, including time as an elite athlete, two and a half years of employment as a personal trainer, one year experience as a behavioural therapist, and is currently working as a coach in kids sports programs. Zach's innovative thinking has created the foundation for a keen interest in mindfulness, and skill based psychology in clinical domains. Zach one day hopes to finish a clinical masters in psychology, and potentially somewhat change the way in which therapy is conducted.
